    about Ban clarification

i have one more very interesting thing to point out,... hear me out pls!!

as of ubisoft, they have never intend to work "Focus" talent with shield. as of the it should work only with 8x or 12x. surely not with shield. so technically it's a GLITCH (or mini DPS GLITCH). so players using it openly and streamers promoted it as well. from ubi word "bug that could be exploited and allowed players to increase their damage to an unintended amount" so with focus + shield 60% more dps as it's should be.. well how about that! i believe this is is same as DPS glitch. and where is the action! and commitment against this!

i would like to see justification from Developers and admin community!

It is being fixed in a future patch ( not next )
They haven't said anything beyond that.

Their continued embarrassment precludes them from responding to any questions right about now.

Hamish is using that build so they would have to ban him. I cant see that happening tbh xD

You're seriously broken morally if you can't see the difference between the two.

The DPS glitch was somebody intentionally going out of their way to stack talents on a gun using a glitch method.

The scope with the shield is somebody going into their inventory and equipping the items that are in the game.

so as it's turret DPS glitch.. so focust can use till it fix and turret stacking not!
(for the records i haven't use those glitch, i'm a daily skill build player so DPS won't bother me)

invalid, both the glitch are stacking. methods are different. but the result and intention is the same. yes there is a big damage difference between these two glitch. but the glitch is glitch no matter how small or big it is. if anyone using focus + shield that is intentionally increasing DPS with help of ingame bug. same as turret staking.

Well .. I did hear you out. You promised something interesting. Where ist it?

Obviously there's a difference between an unintended feature that _could_ have been intended (like Focus working with shields), and an unintended feature that no one could possibly mistake for an intended one (like an interaction between shields and mounted guns that raises your weapon damage indefinitely). Everyone who exploited the damage glitch on purpose, was aware that this was unintended. People who are using Focus with shield, often were/are not.

While Massive _could_ theoretically ban people who use Focus with a shield (it would be within their rights, their rules are broad enough to cover that), it is highly unlikely that they do. They are taking a stance against people who purposefully exploit bugs to gain an advantage. They don't seem to have an issue with people who do so unknowingly (in that case they'd want people to stop, but are unlikely to hand out punishments).

As devs stated themselves "purposefully exploiting game mechanics to receive an unfair advantage" is considered glitching. By that standard, focus + shield IS in fact a game mechanic that is being exploited so you get an unfair advantage (ie more armor and more damage than a normal build).

If the context means nothing, then we can only rely on words, and here you go.

The truth is, they don't give a damn about any of their players, they just didn't want to look bad since this glitch was doing a lot of fuss
