I really thinks its funny how cheaters have even a single word to say other than "I am sorry for what I did"
I have not seen a single sorry from any of them at best its just a "I was caught I cheated" like someone pulled their teeth because then they turn around to tell us how they think a 7 day ban is fine but not taking their loo or how bout ppl that cheated that werent banned, how unfair that is to THEM, best of all is when they say they only did it in PVE like were all stupid, if you did got better gear from using a cheat and then use that gear in PVP but not the cheat what is the difference, you still got ahead in PVP then where you would have been, so how bout you only PVE, well then you are ahead of other PVE players by having better gear you did legit work for and then getting better chances to do hard content.
So all and all I see no cheaters feeling bad for what they have done but instead try everything to make it seem like their cheat wasnt that bad or the punishment wasnt fair to them.
To top it all off you have some of these cheaters trying to say ppl who say they didnt cheat did also which again goes along with their mindset of what they did not being all that bad and trying to find scape goats to take it off them.
A 100% ban from all Ubi games seems in order to me, the cheated this time and they will cheat again, they already told us in every thread that in some way the ban isnt fair to them, they will cheat again in this game and every other game they play because thats who they are and if caught again tit will be same story of how its unfair to them in some way and never it being 100% their fault and that they are sorry, because they are not sorry, they have told us its the devs fault for not making the game they way they should have, oh no its not their fault.
Ban them from every game? Wow. It's sad that someone else's mistake makes you so bitter. Some abused the exploit some tested it and most of them were banned. Will it really make a difference to you if they/we apologize for it?
What does that do? It doesn't fix the exploit, a new variant is in the game, and it provides zero value to the community. It must be really nice sitting up there high and mighty being 100% perfect. Were you born flawless or did you have to work at it?
some are salty enough to leave the game because they got caught and would not admit their guilt. Some have threaten to leave the game and blame the game for having too many bugs... LOL.I really thinks its funny how cheaters have even a single word to say other than "I am sorry for what I did"
I believe those that say that are just idiots. Mostly those that can't admit they are in the wrong for exploiting dps exploit and assume they are innocent. I find it very funny and feel pity for them.
For those that caught in the middle of this and are innocent, Ubi would be able to help them out once their ban have been removed. I seen some that actually safe because they saw what was going on and did not want any part of it. Those that thinks they can get away with this.. think again.
1 week suspension is a lucky for them, as for roll-back... I can't say the same, they exploit to get the loots and not have been taken away from them because of their crime. I only feel bad for those innocent players, but not the one that exploit and thinks they are in the right.
If they want to leave and threaten to leave the game because of this... here my thing... "CYA" we wont miss you either.
I don't know of a single cheater that was banned. Now I know a ton of exploiters were recently banned, but not cheaters.
The EULA clearly defines what a cheat is, and what an exploit is. In this case, it was an exploit.
A cheat requires modifying the game (using a glitch or bug is not modifying the game)
An exploit involves using a glitch or bug. Massive even confirmed this was an exploit.
Why do I bring this up? Because I see all these posts from people like you demanding the EULA/CoC/ToS be followed and chastising the people who didn't, while at the same time you aren't even following it yourselves. Heck, this whole thread is about chastising those who didn't follow the EULA.
If you're going to hold people to the EULA, then you need to hold yourselves to it as well. When you accepted the the EULA, you agreed to Massive's terms as to what a cheat is, and what an exploit is. You don't get to unilaterally change that because you don't like it and want to use a harsher word, It makes you no better than the exploiters who didn't like the EULA and set out to unilaterally change it.
Now, how about we all go ahead use the correct terms now as defined by the EULA, yeah? After all, you already agreed to those terms, it's not that hard to follow what you agreed to.
(Queue all the people who will respond by saying this is not the same thing while completely missing the point)
I get your point, but it's still not the same thing. I'm assuming you know that, and that's why you put it in brackets as a subconscious way to make yourself feel right and others feel wrong.Originally Posted by spitfire192 Go to original post
In the EULA, they are describing the difference between an in-game cheat and an in-game exploit. They are describing it in the terms of actions, but not in a way to describe a person.
You can use an exploit to cheat, which the standard definition of a cheat is to gain an advantage unfairly. I'm guessing the people walking around in the DZ melting people with endless amounts of talents on their gun aren't gaining an unfair advantage over the legit players? It makes you a cheat.
You're a cheat by using an exploit. If they'd have a modified the game files to do it, then you're a cheat by using a cheat.
I agree with the OP, none of the Cheaters appear to be apologetic nor remorseful for the harm that they have caused to the community or the time that they have forced the Developers to waste dealing with this nonsense.
If I worked for Massive, and spent the last two days reading the projectile vomit from all of these Cheaters, I'd reconsider the 7 Day ban and instead make it permanent.
agree! I would do that too with all these whinners. I heard my friend that they are also whining on Reddit about. I find it funny.DLaren

To be fair, punishing has never made anyone regret their actions. That comes from education. But, well, obviously, it's not possible to put them through an online class on "How to behave in an online game".Originally Posted by DLaren Go to original post
The ban and rollback seem more like if Massive wanted to set an example out of the exploiters to prevent further game exploit to reach that scale.
Well quite few people openly admitted and wanted to discuss the issue but people just wanted to throw rocks at them like they were lepers, so honestly both sides on this matter have been horribleOriginally Posted by DLaren Go to original post
Agreed. Cheaters have harmed SO MANY games, and I am happy with Ubisoft that they banned these people. Leaderboards have been ruined, PVP totally destroyed, and progression is now a joke when you see people with over 1000+ SHD level. My sense if that there are some people who just do not understand the fact that cheating is wrong, or live in a culture where cheating is viewed favorably. Either way, it is up to the rest of us to stand up for these types of things, for as the saying goes by Edmund Burke, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."
If you cheated, then accept your ban, learn from your mistake, and move forward in life. We are not sending you to hell, but rather simply trying to indicate that bad behavior is detrimental and harmful to the community, and it ruins games.
Of course, there are other issues with the game as well, and it is not right to point the finger at somebody else, as an excuse. We all make mistakes, but it is critical that we learn from our mistakes and do our best to remedy the harm caused, and to learn from it going forward.
