Status effect attribute, what does it do?

As the title asks, what does the status effect attribute do?

    More damage?

    Longer duration?

    Effectiveness?

    ????

The attribute only adds a percent value. But a percent of what?

I assume if you have any weapon, skill that does elemental damage (such as electricity and fire) this thing makes the effect stay longer. - I myself did not yet experienced with that thingy but that's my assumption rn.

Increases duration and damage of status effect, only effective for builds using fire as bleed is just well... comepletely pointless in PVE

Why is it pointless in PVE? Now when I have special ammo and or a status effect talent on my gear I still tend to keep shooting the baddies until they drop dead, so in that regard I understand the status effects being pointless. But is there still another reason that I'm missing? When distance shooting I find the bleeding and such to be quite usefull.

Its the most usefull attribute in pve and far from pointless. Having a status effect build in your team makes things much easier. Imagine having all enemies in the room blind for about 25 seconds. Every enemy skill disrupted for 15 seconds non stop, everyone on fire for 11+ seconds. No drones, no cars, no robodogs, no turrets, no grenade spamming and so on.

I'm still amazed that not everyone did realize by now that status effect is king in this update. Heroics, legendary strongholds, rogue agents. Trust me you want a good cc build if your team struggling with any of the above. 1 cc who knows how to effectivly play the build and 3 dps. Game over for npcs.

    That tells much about you...

That stat multiplicatively increase the duration of any CC. And they are extremely useful for any build.

Completely and utterly wrong. With enough haste and status effect you can perma-blind and perma-jam entire rooms, making heroics trivial at best.

Maybe my wording came out a bit wrong, it's useful for fire BECAUSE it's a CC, so of course it's useful for blinder firefly, i completeled my legendary rosevelt island EXACTLY due a CC spam. it's USELESS for doing damage, don't go saying you do half an enemy life with bleed damage if you say that you doing that in solo open world at normal against a red enemy, try doing that at 4 people challange, at most you will do is a pip of armor to and veteran, so far i only know 2 things that have DRASTICLY scalled up dot damage, flamethrower and firestarter chem launcher. go look bleed damage from the crossbow and seeker mine, then go look at the dot damage from firestarter and airburst seeker and you will see that those damage dots are drasticly different.

My main complaint was due bleed being a completely useless status effect that it's only use IS to activate talents that need status effect, as dot dmage is completely and utter trash, feel free to prove me wrong would love to see someone doing over 150k per bleed tick. There was a reason why shock turret was popular in division 1 even in builds that had no skillpower because it was hard free CC against pretty much anything and the main reason we don't have shock skills anymore.

Yeah i just made a post talking how the only viable strategy on capitol is to spam CC on people close the arena entrance because of the ultra deluxa healing hive is because i completely think CC is stupid right?

Status effect build with chem launcher firestarter, with appropriate weapon and backpack talents burns enemies for over 400k per second while CCing them as well. While solo Heroic this will kill an elite. Obviously in a group this will not kill them but in a group they should be shooting them as well.

I have easily solo'd Heroic open world and missions using this build.

So no, you are wrong about the damage.

Well thank god you didn't read the part that i said that firestarter dot damage is DRASTICLY (in full caps) overpowered compared to others like aiburst and fire granades and my main complaing was about BLEED DAMAGE. So is airburst burn damage bugged? is the firestarter damage the bugged one? why are all these burn damage status effect damage sources inconsistent? do they depend on on the initla damage to calculate how much the dot does? Then why does the crossbow bleed the same as the seeker and frag granade? Flamethrower is a spec weapon that does large amount of burn damage, why not hte crossbow?
