Er... i really don't understand your point, dude i ALREADY paid for the expansion, and i'm just voicing my opinion to lock cosmedic events from those who DON'T have is a very scummy move in my view, i understand that you don't agree with me so i don' undestand your logic, by your logic you are saying that we should pay extra on top for the cosmedic event when we already paid for the season and that's definetly not what i am talking about.

I don't agree with you, yes, because the Apparel event -is- tied to the expansion. So it isn't a "scummy" move for those who don't own the expansion to not have access to the event. It's a standard business practice in every game ever made, which released a dlc/expansion on top of the base game. I don't see what is so hard to understand.

If they started giving people free access to expansion content, why would they buy the expansion in the first place? Makes sense, yes?

For PVE play flashy, funny, colorful, crazy.

    Color schemes, textures.

How about some weapon skins that alter the look of the guns ?

Items that make my character fun to look at for myself and others I might encounter or be playing with.

I can dig using camo gear for the DZ and for those that want a straight military look but once you hit endgame
things needs some pizzazz to keep it interesting and fun.

Making comparisons with really world situation doesn't make much sense at all. That said, the game was sold last year as having end-game content, or at least that might have been their initial plan. I have no problem paying for the DLC at all. But the fact that they are using a DLC to get access to the end-game content is simply beyond words. If you only own the base game there isn't any end-game content, at least not at the moment. Also convinced it will never happen and that is were the problem is. In TD1 you didn't have to own any DLC to get access to global events, that comparison I will make to point out what is happening. At this stage they could just as well wrap up the year one content and put it an offline mode. The service part is competely missing and there is no reason to be online at all to play any of the (locked) events.

It looks to me that you are simply to blind to see what is going on, but who knows, maybe one day you will see the light. But to use your way of explaining. You had your meal as your friends did but don't want to have dessert, accept your friends do. Now they can stay inside the restaurant and finish their desert but they kick you out for now consuming anything.

    i didnt buy WoNY.

main reason was i had just come back to the game and i wanted to be sure it was worth it before dropping another £25

all i have been hearing/seeing the last couple of weeks is how broken the game is and how many glitches and bugs. Then i work out that WoNY has now put level caps behind it. so i figured whats the point in even looting if i'm not max level.

the game is broken. so i'm not paying for DLC. and because i don't have DLC its not worth playing.

my return lasted about 2 weeks. i feel more cheated than the people banned. i've put 1000's of hours into the div 1 and div 2 and because i don't buy one dlc. the game ends for me.

    @Dethlyhearts

I think you missed the point, subtly or not.

Apparel events have NEVER been locked behind anything before (whatever launch version you bought nor whether you had the season pass or not), they 'were' content available for EVERYONE.
In this case the devs/publisher is saying, you can only partake if you have paid us more money than just buying the game in the first place...even if you gave us $100+ a year ago. It's creating a pay to play wall and player base separation that simply hasn't existed before.

Completely their choice, but at a time when others have general issues with the game anyway; to lock events behind an expansion when there is no technical reason why this should be the case (keys are given out for simply playing and the box opening mechanic already exists for everyone), it appears a simple case of greed, when I would have thought rewarding participation would be in their best interests right now!

Thing is, it is not said in the link you provided that you require to own the Warlords of New York expansion to earn Urban Jungle chest keys. Could you please explain this? Thank you very much

It has already been explained. Urban Jungle is part of Season 1. Season 1 is only unlocked after you complete the NY content, which requires the expansion.
