The title says it all, what classes do you guys reccommend for "solo play" in immersive mode?
I really want your guys opinion on this, I'm a new player and I started out with the panter class.

    Hi
First my play style : stealth as much as possible. Immersive mode with enemies on normal and tactics on the highest but with the compas on the right bottom of the screen.
When game released I use to play as a panther with an MP7 smg and a P227 pistol.
Now with immersive mode I play as echelon class with pistol only (maxim9) without any skill that upgrade your ammo carried or object just basic and more real to wear only 350 bullets of 9mm. Usually I sneak into base and kill as less opponents as possible (ghost style). And sometimes if I have to, I try to take out a sniper in cqc and then use this rifle for one or two shot and leave it there.
I have to admit with drone it’s a bit trickier...

Always panther. Just because of the smoke grenade when you have to dissappear. Other than that all classes are nothing special.

Since stealth is a good way to approach this game when playing solo on immersive, my preference is playing as a panther or maybe echelon (i use extreme+elite)

when playing with friends (and stealth becomes less important), i like to mix it up and take a class that is useful to the team

Nice thread to see how peeps are playing the new mode.

Ozzi - you be crazy going pistol only! Hats off.

I hate these magic syringes to get over an injury and increase your health by 2 blocks especially as it's a lot quicker than applying a bandage. So to not use these syringes, I'm going for assault as you get an extra block of health and then with regen at partial, will give me the fear of taking on too many soldiers at once and enough to be able to fight with taking some hits that I can heal with bandages. Then if I'm near death (last block), I hit up a bivvie to fully heal.

Panther and echelon are great stealth options, medic for the oops I died come back once, assault with as much health regen gear can be quite tanky. Sharpshooter doesn't lend much other then area of effect marking, and engineer...just dont pick engineer that class already needs a redesign.

Engineer is fine, you just have to know how to play it.

The defense drone acts as a pseudo-AI teammate since it can draw fire away from you, since enemies automatically aggro the drone, and if you wanted too, you can enter your actual drone and then use it to direct who to fire on, and the tiny ammo drones work as mines for defense missions so you don't have to carry mines with you.

First starting off as a solo player, imo the best class to use is sharpshooter. With it you learn to recon a base. You strategically take down enemies from a distance. As you get more confident you can change up to assault, medic, and engineer for these are mid range fighters that have innate features to keep you alive longer. Finally, when your skills are honed and you're calm under pressure, switch to panther and echelon for a close quarter approach.

Range is your friend. A sniper with a long range rifle is deadly from a far. Picking targets off from 300 plus meters isn't learnt over night. Takes patience and practice. But yeah, there isn't always the high ground available but there is cover and concealment. Use the terrain to your advantage.. Snipe out of prone.
