Neutral game against Tiandi is already hell.
You have to look out to block or parry (I don’t even like parrying tiandi because of all that feinting dancing crap)
1. Very Fast Top Light Foward.
2. 500 Ms Zone with a feintable follow up and vortex mixup with the kick. Delayed side dodge lights from tiandi after a feinted kick is now UNDOGABLE on a single timing like it used to be by back dodging and blocking top whenever you see kick. There is a a good number of weird cases where tiandi can get top heavies, side heavies, or just the top light but it’s absurd that we let this unique type of “opener” guarantee heavies that CHAIN.
So besides the annoying vortex bash and quick neutral game, how in the world am I supposed to react to his neutral game with
Palm Strike
It’s 600 ms. But only if you are ready to react on orange should you be able to dodge it reactively. Which I’m obviously not going to do if I’m looking out for the top light and zone attack.
Feintable dodge attacks should not be a thing, no matter how much guard break invulnerability is on it because it’s INCONSISTENT.
An undodgable from a feintable dodge attack. Great. Whose going to react to dragondodge feint to palm strike now?
What’s even worse is that backdodging tiandi’s constantly use palm strike whenever you try to get close. Spacing away from the Tiandi is effective play, right? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO START MY OFFENSE THEN. It’s a GUARDBREAK INVULNERABLE MOVE THAT DOESNT REQUIRE A DODGE, AND ITS THE ONLY BASH THAT GUARANTEES DAMAGE besides gladiators toestab.
Imagine just realizing that Tiandi has an indirect chain of 3. The recoveries make it like that. Just block or parry? You decided to give this dude a light bash light.
Think about it. All the light bash light characters are giving people problems (Jorm, Black Prior-although not so much black Prior anymore), especially when you can do light light and the last light is 400 MILISECONDS.

Yea whatever I’m done. I spent an entire year learning this character’s move set. I can beat anyone except this annoying character who for some reason is allowed to be faster than some assassins and have A STATIC GUARD.

News flash, I'd say most characters are as fast or faster than assassins lol. His zone cancel eats 70% stamina at least. His dodge ud light, you have to account for the dodge animation first, it's slight but it's there. His dodge heavy, gb him. Sorry but there's no way you can beat everyone in the cast but him lol. Almost every character can start their offence/mix with a whiffed light, because you know, chains exist, and they'll track. His zone is the only thing with consistent dmg with mix. Everything else can be blocked, or guardbroken.
