What's good for 1 better be good for ALL

There should be EQUAL treatment for ALL glitches / exploits. Isn't that why this came about in the first place?? All of the daring Massive to "Do Something" and now everyone forgets the plethora of glitches and exploits that exist in this game?? What glitches??

    1) Target Practice ( patched no longer gives 329k XP OR loot / rewards on fail only gives 114k xp on heroic with all directives on ) - Ubi in their own words "We want to remind out players that purposefully exploiting game mechanics to receive an unfair advantage WILL LEAD TO ACCOUNT SANCTIONS." BY the way you 100% can get exotics from doing this as well on top of the targeted loot - seems fair right??

Did everyone forget about this post or did we just choose to Witch Hunt DPS glitchers ONLY??

    2) Raid Time and Raid Key Exploit - Still in the game allowing for unrealistic raid times and allowing for the farming of a raid exclusive weapon - Eagle Bearer - which is INTENDED to only be able to be completed ONCE a week. This exploit allows you to farm for raid keys an unlimited amount of times to try your chances and an Eagle Bearer at the end of the raid. NO UNFAIR ADVANTAGE TO BE SEEN HERE!!!

3)Focus Exploit - Still in the game - Chest talent REQUIRING you to be aiming down a scope in order to gain a damage bonus - can be BYPASSED by using a Crusader / Striker Firewall Shield allowing you to gain unintended amounts of damage while in 3rd person.

    4) Shield Health Exploit - Still in the game allowing you to stack upwards of 20 million health by PURPOSELY switching gear items to stack shield health

    5) Specialization weapons with infinite ammo in DZ - Still in the game, gearset tip of the spear generates special ammo while sitting in a checkpoint in the DZ - this absolutely ruins the DZ experience for anyone who encounters a player using this

    6) Infinite Season cache exploit - Patched, allowed you to log in and on your first NPC kill or control point donation you'd gain a season cache. Log out, repeat

    7) infinite Exotic / target loot farm NYC ( Kajika ) - Still in the game, allows you the ability to CC ( Via Foam, blinder, etc ) the boss early on in the mission to kill him and farm his target loot / exotics

    8) DMG glitch - STILL IN THE GAME, I HAVE NO WORDS FOR THIS

    9) Luckyshot infinite ammo double barrel shotgun glitch - Still in the game, CAN BE USED IN THE DZ, allows you to stack certain talents with the double barrel creating an infinite ammo hard hitting double barrel

You can't sit here thumbing your nose at damage glitchers when players who either have at some point or are currently abusing the glitches listed above are still playing the game. If you really care about glitchers / cheaters being banned or served justice then you MUST support ALL of these glitches being reprimanded / banned / rolledback to some degree otherwise you're just a hypocrite. The Devs even said this much in a post nearly 3 weeks ago, so why the selective banning then?? what's good for one group should be good for ALL

Great post OP, totally agree. You can't choose to ban some people and not others if all are guilty of the same offence. Glitches are glitches, if you ban someone for using the dps glitch you have to follow suit with all of the other glitches as well. Honestly, no one should be banned until you (massive) do your job and remove such glitches from the game. You've now created an atmosphere of fear when it comes to matchmaking. People are still using these glitches, and if you matchmake and group up with one of them you could be banned for it.

Hmmmm well that's not really up to us and we all agreed to that it shouldn't be, don't get me wrong I completely agree that there should be a punishment for exploiting regardless of what the exploit might be.

    But:
    https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthrea...ode-of-Conduct
Exploiting: Triggering and using a bug or glitch or bypassing established game rules to gain a significant advantage or skip progression steps otherwise necessary.
    First offense: temporary suspension
    Multiple offenses: permanent ban
Extent of an account rollback will be decided at Ubisoft’s discretion, on a case by case basis
Duration of a suspension will be decided at Ubisoft’s discretion, on a case by case basis
Actual disciplinary action may differ from the list of examples depending on the severity of the behavior and shall be decided at Ubisoft’s discretion, on a case by case basis
Repeat violations may lead to stricter consequences.

Doubt anyone forgot that there seems to be other things some people are exploiting within the game. Contrary to what some are writing here, you included (Am I misinterpreting you?), I haven't seen a single post on these forums supporting the bans/rollbacks and denying that there is other exploits or being against action taken towards other exploits. The DPS glitch has just been the hot topic lately and like all hot topics this is where the focus will be primarily.

Massive's response seems very one sided at the moment while most of these glitches either exist or have existed at some point. I stated that, "If you really care about glitchers / cheaters being banned or served justice then you MUST support ALL of these glitches being reprimanded / banned / rolledback to some degree otherwise you're just a hypocrite." key being to SOME degree here not exactly so clear cut. Just used that statement to make my point which is treat all glitches as a violation to the ToS / CoC which currently doesn't appear to be the case.

It's a good start. Maybe this will dissuade people to use better judgement when then next exploit pops up. This whole fairness narrative being spewed out by all the people who were banned is laughable. Nothing in life is fair.....not all speeders are caught....not all crimes are solved....and certainly not all exploiters will be caught and punished at the same time.

No doubt it will Dissuade people from using glitches / exploits like this. The "Nothing in life is fair" analogy can also be applied to the glitchers themselves, not sure I would've used that one but I get your point. This just seems kind of double sided, you have people who want fairness and punishment for cheating / exploiting, then you have glitchers / cheaters who're still playing the game mocking those that HAVE been caught or choose to focus all attention on 1 specific exploit to remove focus on themselves. I don't want everyone to loose focus here, if UBI is going to walk down this road then they seriously need to consider taking actions against all accounts that exploited / cheated.

I suspect the suspensions we have now are only Wave 1 and there are many more to come and quite rightly so for all those who glitch/cheat/Exploit.

If Activision/Infinity Ward can do it then so can UBI/Massive.

Call of Duty Warzone 50,000 players Perma banned. March this year.

Cmon now we can’t even get equal treatment for the players that used the DPS glitch.

Equal treatment, this guy, that’s just silly talk...
