First of all i would like to mention that in writing this, i come from a neutral perspective.
As someone who has worked for Triple A game customer service team, to me the knee jerk response is a very harsh response here.
I have not played the Division 2 for some time and recently looked to come back to playing with the new DLC, giving the launch a few weeks to run and allow bugs to be ironed out first. I am fully aware of the DPS bug that been used by many players, including some of my own friends, some who have had their accounts suspended and some that have not.
Now, please if you are reading this, and wish to respond, i ask you keep it respectful. I have read many a topic in recent days, now locked due to off topic wandering ect.
As a neutral observer here i can see there is much upset here on the forums, youtube and various other places, and this appears to for a number of reasons. If you fall into one of the categories then i sincerely ubisoft will do the right thing for your situation. However it seem that some people have been open and honest about their suspension and other claim innocents (we all know not all cases that drop into this are strictly true), and there does also appear to be cases that have been suspended wrongly. (I say this knowing of 2 people suspended and did not abuse this).
Ultimately Ubisoft, you are well within your rights to act how you see fit, but the punishment does seem very knee jerk and that innocent players knowingly or unknowingly are being wrongfully punish also. This definitely must not happen and i hope everything is being done to make 100% sure. If you are not 100% sure that someone is guilty of abusing this recent glitch, you must not and cannot be tarring everyone with the same brush.
In my mind, from a service representative mindset there are the following;
- Abusers of a glitch to boost DPS (if you knowingly did this and have been caught, then you haven't really got a leg to stand on)
- Joining someone who was abusing this knowingly (although not guilty directly, being complicit in the world we live in this makes you guilty to some degree also)
- Joining unknowingly (This for me is unfair towards players who have used an in game feature to find other players)
- Players have used this for PvE and PvP apparently. It is definitely in my opinion a more distasteful use of this. Remember these are other players you are, and have been abusing and this is worse.
If you have been caught its time to own it.
If you were suspended wrongfully there appears to be no why to have suspension lifted without the 7 day punishment, this in unfair to you.
Those of you who have not been suspended, think yourselves lucky.
Those of you playing as per normal carry on as you were.
Players who played straight along with those who have abused this but not been suspended please, there is no need to be antagonist towards others.
Ultimately there is much upset around this.
To fellow Division 2 players -
I understand the upset here, but there is absolutely no need to flame each other, tout and wind each other up. TOS and Conduct have been violated by some, but the punishments seem to not be of an accurate and fair assignment.
Ubisoft - The community of players are screaming out, some rightly so and some not so. These punishments must be accurate and its apparent they are not. Now correct me if i am wrong, but again rolling all players back to a specific date is extremely harsh. If you are tring to make a statement, and you are well within your rights to do this then you will carry on as stated. I am taking away from this, there will be many players that will likely not return, but again i am sure you are aware of this. You definitely need to unsuspected wrongfully suspended accounts.
Again as mentioned, please be civil to each other and towards the developer / Publisher.
It was always exteme in here, Massive on one side with his asymmetrical development, and the community on the other with his special needs. And honestly I did not expect an agenda like that from Massive, but I appreciate it, it's a positive signal, at least for me.
Apart from that, I can't say if Massive made mistakes in that case or not.
Cheating and using bug isn't the same things fyi
Cheating = using 3rd party software
Using bug = Using resources that provides games .
I would understand this ban if it only was 7 days ,but most upseting thing is 2 weeks roll back ?(Are you nuts or what for avarage player its 100 h for those who were new to game bought for 3 -10 eur and then bought all dlc ,like myself spend over 70 eur on game and at best i own game like 3 +/- weeks and 2 weeks roll back = over 150 h i am not gonna ******g do 150 h of this **** again am i ****** or what ? to invest same amount time for broken game that pushed to edge to use just a few times bug , cause i am solo player and only pve player ,and used it for event to make in time cause you see HIVE doest work and when you lose on heroic you go from zero and they test you patience for it by 6 + times not working and going all over again wasting time (Seems they fail to care about bugs that wasted ppl time ,but care about only those who impact then )And let's not talk about when i asked friend to do duo cause didnt want use bug OH Wait review bug is there second punch in face from them .So it pissed me off and i used it for that time event ...
Conclusion If the 2 weeks roll back will be as stated for all who banned right or wrong they will lose more players then gained on DLC and ppl was much higher
I aint gonna start again from story q or lvl 30 **** it (At best i got 10 lvl on shd watch and single good drop + all the wasted time at crafting table no thanks not gonna do that again .)
P.s all this feels so wrong and unprofessional , All i feel is betrayed I buy game and got interested in it buy all dlc .
Then comes Bug wave that hinders my playing in all way possible by wasting my time and stuff , meanwhile marketed is full release no major bugs etc so i buy .
This is what happens when you gain success and huge amount of new ppl on broken game ,and this is how you lose all of them !
1)Fix Hive legacy bug and ppl wont need to relay on bugs and wont want to !
2)Fix 1 shoting from 70 m radius by random guy
3)In general fix bugs that hinders ppl progress = as for now it feels like they want ppl to get hindered and invest more time in game !

I think the reason people are up in arms is that the ban was not across the board. Should people who have used the glitch be banned? Yes absolutely. But why isn’t this ban for everyone? Many streamers and top players are still playing the game that put this stuff out there, and are still currently using the new DPS glitch. If this were for everyone who did it... then the conversation would not be going on. Everyone would be able to praise Ubi and massive for taking a stand and move on. But that simple fact is a bad look for them.
It's not a bad look to those of us who don't cheat. This actually elevates them in my book.Originally Posted by HenryRoweng Go to original post
Where is the bad press? There is none. People across the spectrum applaud this type of action. Look at the 50,000 accounts banned earlier...this type of thing is only GOOD for the game.
I think you are misunderstanding me. I too think it’s good for the game. I think they should permanently ban all players who used it. What I think is a “bad look” and not “bad press”, because I never said that. Nice try putting words in my mouth btw. Is that punishment should be just, harsh, and fair. This punishment is missing the fair part. So the only part of it that I’m saying is bad is that it was a selective ban. That is all.Originally Posted by TheresaScorned Go to original post
