Actually it's not a surprise at all how inconsistent the suspension was (for both those guilty yet avoided it & those innocent that got mixed in). Just looking at the history of how the games imbalances, glitches, bugs, etc have been handled lead to NO REASON that anyone should've figured this would work out fairly. It was a cheap quick "Fix" to make a point & satisfy the complainers, however at the same time not trying to be too harsh to push some of the suspended away for good. I truly feel for those that got caught up unfairly, there's literally 0 chance things will be rectified for them.
I did matchmaking for Roosevelt Island on Heroic during the League event. I had tried the time trial with members of my clan and my friends, but alas - we stunk. We simply could not get the time. In a Hail Mary move with one hour to go I tried matchmaking just to see what would happen. I was invited to join a group and when I joined they were on the second to last section. There was this one dude who was just melting all the NPCs. I am not all that good and do not know any top tier players so I did not recognize what others later told me was that dude using the damage glitch. We got a completion time of less than 16:00.
I am super worried about getting banned as I have a completion time in the range they described as 'impossible without a glitch'. Does anyone know what decision making process they are using?
There’s is not structured or fair banning process. If you logged in and played yesterday after the maintenance then it seems your account is okay and not on the ban list regardless is you used an exploit or not.Originally Posted by WhoMeNotMe Go to original post
One of my clan mates can’t log into the game and never used the exploit. But his issue is black screen after seeing his characters with no warning.
Whether you knowingly cheated or not just let this be a lesson. Massive does and will ban anyone when a cheat or exploit goes viral, no proof is given and innocent victims are getting caught up in this too.
They know exactly who did what, because everything your character does is recorded. If you didn't abuse the glitch yourself, you'll be fine.Originally Posted by WhoMeNotMe Go to original post
If that's the case why are there so many people who never played with, or did the glitch them selfs banned? And so many who actively did glitch with proof no less never got banned?Originally Posted by HerbertWells Go to original post
Frankly, the ban itself is not even the biggest issue, but the no warning after 4 times maintenance cause they could not fix it. Then a rollback for 2 weeks. Over a glitch that's been suposingly been around for far much longer according to a lot of streamers and forums.
It's just seven days and the criteria used must show some irregularities on the account. I guess it's possible the odd player is innocent but the vast majority cheated and are no loss to a online game. Personally if it was my say all utubers would have been banned too.Originally Posted by DivineElfin Go to original post
