Got banned. Kinda knew why before I researched it. But there are a few things I would like to say about it.
First and foremost, for those who didn't glitch and weren't banned, I couldn't care less if you think it's funny or not. It's a game and I can play others so I would ask that any replies be respectful.
Second, I violated the terms of service and got banned. I'm fine with that consequence. I knew what I was doing, did it anyway. However, not once did I use it for pvp and I only did it to get through the legendary missions a couple times. I didn't farm levels or gear and after those legendary runs every drop I received was garbage. No I didn't get the big Horn, but didn't care about that anyway. Since 99% of my progress and 100% of my gear was earned honestly, it shouldn't be rolled back.
Not everyone that glitched got banned, even for those where it was 100% noticeable they farmed legendary missions for watch levels and triple max roll gear. Especially youtubers and streamers. The bans come from reporters and screenshots. Well guess what ubi developers? There is still an inspection glitch and a damage counter glitch when dead. The numbers are rarely accurate if ever.
Both division games have had exploitable glitches since day 1. Others were far more toxic than this one, and there were no consequences, so it seems odd there are consequences now. You remember when the first incursion in division 1 came out? Everyone glitched that to beat it from the outside, nothing happened.
In order to not rant much more I will sum up with this. I used the glitch to beat missions that proved too difficult for nearly the entire player base and that's why they have been nerfed since then. If you didn't want people glitching (and by the way, you still can) then it would have been smarter to make all minigun turrets unusable by players outside the raid until there was a fix. No one would have cared about using the glitch if the legendary missions weren't insanely hard in the first place (not unbeatable, just exceedingly difficult).
P.s. (mini rant) - Remember these?
Incursion glitch, sentry set glitch, multiple mobile cover glitches, support station glitch, various division 1 perk glitches, loot caving all day, nuclear sickly bomb glitch, headshot damage stacking, purple damage mod stacking, talent stacking, the Midas non stop signature skill glitch, freight train shotguns, dump truck double barrels.... To name a few. Unfair advantage against players? Was that every really a concern? Talk to anyone that doesn't have imperial dynasty in pvp fighting someone who does about unfair advantage.
