In the end. this wasn't a glitch/bug. It was a cheat intentionally put into the game for streamers to use to promote the game...hence why they haven't gotten banned even though they obviously used it and promoted using it. A glitch/bug is falling through a wall or floor and getting stuck. Remember the ladder bug in Div1? Massive chose to ban players who used something they put into the game on purpose but never intended on everyone finding out about it. Instead of owning it and taking responsibility for it, they chose to mass ban the vast majority of their player base. Banned players that used it and some who never did...but not their top dog streamers who (some even admit it) used it. It will end up hurting Massive/Ubisoft and it could very easily doom the game entirely. It doesn't matter that it is only a 7 day ban. It's the way they handed it out and the circumstances surrounding it that matter and that will lose them a great deal of players. I am also quite certain that there are some people working at Massive who would have been against handling it in this way knowing what kind of gamble it would be, but one individual high up made this decision and it was a catastrophic and poor business move.
I did this glitch with a friend, we had a bit of fun with it. the fact the game was broken to the point we just died all the time it was nice to push some of that damage back and see the NPC's fall with a couple of bullets. I agree this is an extreme approach, I accept I used it and a 7 day suspension sounds fair. but that's not all it is.
I've been isolating for the last 2 weeks and this game has been pretty much all I've done in my spare time. I don't play PVP and just play with a group of friends. We all used it yet 2 are banned and two aren't.
If it was just the 7 day suspension I would accept gladly, but it's not. After we used the glitch for 1 day last week our accounts will be reset to 17th March. This means that all the legit time spent completing the time trial, and the hours spent completing the Polarized missions is lost - I spent 2 hours alone getting the last 10 grenade kills. Not only that but suspension for the next 7 days means missing the apparel event and the next target.
The punishment should reflect the crime and in this case you [ Ubi ] have just crippled my account and reduced all the time and effort over the last weeks to zero. You seem very quick to jump on issues that give the player advantage, yet the hive glitch, getting stuck, the failed striker build we just had to deal with month after month.
I'm sure there we're people abusing this glitch in PVP and using it daily and continually over this the time it was available, but to throw everybody in the same bag just shows your lac of clarity and care to be honest on dealing with the issue.
I'm gutted I got banned if I'm honest, but I've lost interest now in a game I put so much time into. This is a just a transfer of blame for a game that has issues that allow these types of glitches to occur. You could have just fixed it and moved on, but no there has to be some spectacle of bans and punishment to make up for the lack of issue resolution in other areas.
The love for this game has gone.
People need be aware that false flags due joining sessions of people with glitch are first ofense
Even dont getting rollback, in case of that innocent(or not) people join OTHERS sessions of people using glitchs...they gonna suffer perma ban even without do the glitch
Whats the point of keep playing if its on the table receive perma ban due other player errors??
Scope shield and infinite ammo on shotgun sidearm are hard to tell... and lots of people probably will receive permaban of just joining sessions of people doing this

There are about, if I am lucky, 10 users that I can count that have remained objective, courteous, civil and constructive during this entire mess, said users incidentally campaigning for bans etc etc and rightfully so.
However,
Doing so, as said, in a mature, civil and constructive fashion (shout out to Richard, he's one). Respect.
The rest of the agents, well, it's been a cesspool of vitriol. It's kinda sad, really, because history has shown that Massive NEVER gets it right. No, said agents are too busy dislocating their shoulders patting themselves on the back for a job (sic) well done......sigh.
Hey All,
I am closing this thread due to the flaming and trolling which has taken place.
