I really disagree with your opinion about cheaters. If you follow your logic, then you should also allow aimbots, and other software that allows you to cheat, in order to "allow more people to play the game so that you are not alone"
Do you realize how many games are RUINED by cheaters?
Leaderboards - meaningless
PVP - totally unfair
Level progression -- totally unbalanced
If the game is full of these cheaters, without consequence, it actually forces MORE players to leave !
That is why I left Battlefied V - there were so many cheaters there on a regular basis, and it ruined the game for MANY of us !
Tell me - would you like to go to work, and there is a person that finds a way to cheat to make more money than you illegally?
If you extend this thought to many things in life, you will realize that it is the RIGHT thing to do to send a message to the cheaters to NOT do this again.
Well done Ubisoft !
banning is the correct way to address the situation.
selective banning sends a very strong message that you only care about money and not the customers.

everyone is stating that innocent people was banned and you probably have some friends with this issue too.
if in case of being caught "again" in a session wheres someone used one glitch will result in permaban, why i should come back to game? theres glitchs hard to notice like infinite ammo on firestarter sidearm sawedoff shotgun that lots of people used, how many times you checked if your teammates reloaded their weapons? the glitch with sidearm sawed shotgun its for infinite ammo without reload, you cant figure out checking that guy build. also...this time this bug isnt target of ban! cool, right? almost every exploit its allowed, only dps specific glitch result in bans.
Banning cheaters is good, in my opinion...
Selectively banning people, however, creates rifts and disparity among the normal player base and those that seem immune, despite being absolutely egregious in their use of the glitch.
Consequence should be equal, regardless of what they are. I don't expect them to tailor each person to their offence, but some go unpunished while others suffer greatly. This isn't okay.
thats the point. if your flagged you got a problem. you can trust nobody and its useless to play the game.
i got exact this situation in forza horizon 4.
first i got a 7 day ban and was flagged for sharing broken race. months later i joined a random race and the problem was this was a glitched race (8.000.000 cr in 30sec.) and i didnt know it. just wondering about the high amount of money.
result = perma ban for random ******** and this was not my fault.
i bet this will happens again in this game.
so its better to stop now before wasting more time. i made this experience already and this random moment comes earlier or later true and you are more pissed because of that...
I've been saying I preferred the smaller, less toxic community we had back in the Fall.
The $3 dollar sale plus Gear 2.0 ruined that community.
This BAN HAMMER might restore what we had, so I'm glad the Cheaters are quiting & I hope they stay gone.
If that means I have to wait an extra 10 minutes to matchmake a group, so be it.
