Banning during Quarantine
Hi Devs, Forum Admins and Agents,
The World is in lock-down and People are stuck in their homes. Using the DPS/Loot glitch was a bad idea and banning people is fair and should be enforced.
But given the current circumstances, I feel the 7 day ban is a bit too harsh especially when people are locked up in their homes with nothing else to do but play their favorite game.
With global events and apparel events all going on, I feel the punishment for this is a bit excessive. I'm sure there are many players here who stuck by the game even during its low points with 500 to even 1000+ hours played who did the glitch once or played in a group with some random who was glitching and got banned too. Lets not forget the Season progress wipe that happened on the 17th. people lost ALL their season levels and had to regrind it all back. These were the Dev's fault and players suffered because of it.
All I'm saying is that, You the Devs have not been perfect, there were terrible and easy to exploit glitches, and there are still legacy bugs like the revive hive and countless other issues that plague this game yet to be fixed - but still the community has stuck around and supported you. This time, the community messed up by glitching and using an exploit and maybe the devs can show some good will to the community. Ban the ACTUAL hackers, the aim-botters and the People who used the DPS glitch in the DZ. Just ban the hackers, wipe the leader boards and let people get back to their grind. The game is great because of its community, and I think given these troubling times, the Devs should show some leniency to these players as well.
The Devs are entitled to their decision. Misconduct deserves punishment, but given the context of the global situation, a warning/strike instead of an all out 7 day ban with a 14 day rollback might build more community good will.
Thanks for your audience.
