@Massive Devs: you've never played your own game!

because if you would have played D2, you would have realized what an overtuned s***show this game is right now!

what you have made is neither challenging nor fun - it's just a oneshot/insta-die-in-fire/fight-against-terminator-demigods show!

...the so-called balance patch cannot come quickly enough!

    Prior-TU8 was a joke.
For a based-cover-shooter, on Heroic, you ran like Rambo and kills everybody.
    0 challenge.

On TU8, difficulty scaled up, you need to use your brain for both your build and missions.

    Just git gud sir.

The patch of the patch, that was meant to patch the previous patch, patching the TU4 patch? Or which one?
I'm going to repeat myself for a millionth time here, they DON'T HAVE A CLUE AND YOU ALL FELL FOR IT AND STUFFED THEIR WALLETS - AND WILL DO IT AGAIN. THE FAULT IS YOUR OWN.

The game IS overtuned. Especially for a solo player that needs to watch at 360 degrees for all the threats that keep surrounding us.

If the NPC get to be so aggressive we have to get more space to breathe, either they need to deal less damage, be less spongy, beless pee-a-boo prone, or be less in numbers.
At least in solo, in group where we can ress each other (when it works) and there are 8 pairs of eyes it's easier to keep track of everything that's happening.

    well said^^

the other problem is you can't argue with all the fanbois here - they will defend "their" game at all costs, it doesn't matter how broken it is.
i bet most of them never tried heroic zoo or darpa labs

    Actually, i did.
Solo Heroic Zoo done (after many trys/RQs).
Didn't tried yet Darpa on Heroic, but i'll take a try too.

I manly play solo. Normally, i play Solo Challenging missions but i jumped on Heroic mostly due to get some exotics.
I did many Heroic Solo missions.
I wouldn't few weeks ago due to non-optimized gear.

Heroic are cleary stated for players with optimized/gold rolled gear.
Ofc there is a big gap between Challenging and Heroic, but it was made on purpose.

I got a Rifle (NO M1A) build who just works well vs them.
I just take care and non-rambo them. It just works great.

Edit: Ofc, it's not "easy". But it's stated as it has to be hard.

My main issue is that to win the easiest way is to trick the game instead of playing it.

Calling it "Rambo style" when it actually it mainly just means to be in the same room with the enemies is excessive. It may have been the case for people with the highest rolled gear in TU7, now it's "Rambo" just finding a cover in the general area of the NPCs.

For a cover-based-shooter, it's kinda normal to.... cover. Right?
Trick (not cheating) the game IS the way to win actually.

The game give you tools to trick him (grenades, cover, skills, gear) and it's kinda normal for higher difficulties to use it on the maximum potential.

(Personal experience inc) Prior TU8, i wans't even optimized and i walked in a park almost all Challenging/heroic missions, barely using cover or nades.

Exactly the opposite, tricking the game involves not using covers at all, like going back in the map so NPCs don't follow you and picking them out from a distance.

Those are not tricks, those would be tools.

But even the riot foam, playing solo, by the time you have shot it and changed back to your weapon, half of the time you have to shoot at the enemies is gone.

There's a huge difference going from walk in the park to unnerving experience.
It is supposed to be a game after all, and a looter nonetheless, which implies repeating content over and over.
You can't get stressed during the repetitive farming, farming itself is supposed to be a means to make higher difficulties not stressful.

When you enter Inferno in Diablo you get smashed left and right, once you're geared up you farm it for loot to make new or alternative builds. In this iteration of game you never get to see the difference.

A looter needs to have a ceiling where you can see how strong you've become thanks to the farming.
If the farming simply enables you to finally be able to chip away at the harder content, you might just as well save the effort.
