Hey there UBI,
Just wanted to say thank you guys for all of your hard-work. The new update has added a lot of nice changes to the game. After playing through the new content I decided to start a new character to experience the new mode in all its glory. Still only about 45% through the campaign and with all side missions still available. In playing though I have compiled a list of bugs and issues I have encountered. I believe most to be original bugs that have yet to be reported. If there are duplicates I apologize. I hope this helps.
1. 4th Echelon mask under Facewear appears hidden if the character has selected the medium stubble beard option.
2. Battle belt still changes colors. The belt switches between three colors. It will either be black, the correct camo/color option of the vest or if a camo is selected it will match the color of the holster. For example, a multicam vest with a khaki holster means a khaki belt. Pouches remain matching the vests color. Switches color during cutscenes, upon death as well as entering/exiting the bivouac. However, that can sometimes correct the issue as well.
3. Sentinel Sniper Chest Rig, Heavy Gunner Tac-Vest, Ocelot Chest Rig and Flayed Vest have had their pistol magazine pouches removed. While I am sure this was to prevent clipping with some primary magazine attachments it does leave the significantly more empty then they were before. There is still plenty of realestate on the vests for the pouches to be relocated and re-arranged. (Hence why an option in customization to add and customize pouches would be awesome)
4. Cross Draw Vest is still missing all of its pouches.
5. Black Hawk S.T.R.I.K.E vest/Shoulder Pad, Wolf Armor, Sentinel MK.II Vest have some weird mesh issues. The pistol mag pouches on the vest are stretched and expand/contract depending on the character movement (Highly noticeable in prone camo, they almost expand to rifle mag size). In addition, the 2 rifle mag pouches that are attached to the battle belt have the same issue with warped meshes.
6. Karambit Gambit emote is missing the Karambit when played in the world. Works as intended in the menus.
7. Terminator T-800 figure does not appear to have the correct boots on. Different from all other figures.
8. Commissar Slacks, Silencer Pants and Punk Pants have extreme clipping issues with most footwear.
9. All Headsets with the exception of the TCI Patrol II hover around what would be about 1 to 2 inches above the players head if they have equipped any form of Cap such as the Field Cap and 5.11 Flag bearer. Exceptions appear to only be the Trucker Cap and the 3E Black Arrow.
10. Battle belt is missing and has floating pouches on your two squad mates that you meet during a cut-scene upon first arriving at Erewhon.
11. Sometimes Azrael drones can be frozen in the air if you open up the inventory once they are out of detection range. Causes the character to continually have the “focus” option present on screen. Getting far enough away or fast traveling removes this. Only have had this happen once. Have not been able to recreate the bug.
12. Dexterity Rations do not give the specified 5% reload speed buff. Tested with all 3 levels of the ration.
13. Assault rifle “After Kill” buffs from Tier upgrades do not apply. Easiest to test was the +10 reload speed after kill. For example a minimum of 15% reload speed is needed for the reload animation to change to where the player flings the rifle mag out and puts another one in. I have tested this numerous times across all game types and checking all potential passive skills and gear buffs. It simply does not work. Not sure about the mobility and handling but I would assume they are also not functioning as intended.
14. Patch notes stated that the Nomad figure was available in the store. Most people assumed this meant that the detailed outfit that is continually showcased in all of the Ubisoft made in-game cutscene, various screenshots as well as some of the in-game skill videos would be available. However, I did not see any option in the store to buy a Nomad Figure on both an old character as well as a new one. I did have the old figure unlocked before the patch on an old character. Not sure whether the new figure was supposed to be added or if the Old one was being made available to players that have not unlocked it previously during the battle rewards.
While the majority of this post was to relay some bugs I would also like to add a couple of suggestions. Nothing too crazy I hope.
1. Make all under-barrel attachments available on most guns. I understand certain guns will not work but most under-barrel attachments should function on most guns. In addition, remove the “-% Reload Speed” penalty on fore-grips. I can understand gaining improved vertical recoil at the cost of horizontal and vice versa. However, punishing reload speed makes no sense.
2. If I have not already sort of hinted at it but the Nomad figure that is consistently used by UBI in their in-game footage should be made available. It is extremely detailed and better than anything that can currently be created in the character customization. The asset clearly already exists.
3. Bring back Battle Rewards. The new content was fun but short lived. It can be cleared relatively quickly. Battle rewards gave some players reasons to come back to the game continually. Removing them and their rewards severely limits the games replay-ability once main and side missions are done.
4. In immersive mode make collectibles highlight when close like intel does. It can be a serious pain to find a small flash drive among the clutter and the flashing is barely noticeable sometimes. Would also help considering on occasion I have found resources like fruit to be placed on top of them making them completely hidden from view.
5. Character customization is extremely dull and lacking in detail. I recently replayed a bit of Wildlands. By comparison there is more flavor and character to the equipment. Vests have medical pouches, trauma shears, M203 rounds, shotgun-shells, utility/admin pouches, Radios with cables and mics, zip cuffs, chem lights, etc. In Breakpoint there is not much going on with the gear, it is very dull. However, certain assets or at least the foundation does appear to be in game. Sentinel shotgunners have shells on their vest, There are radios with mics on certain Sentinel NPCs. Look at the Hill figure as an example. While improvements could be made his vest alone is better looking than anything in game. He is also the only character with an actual shemagh on. The most we get is solid color, camo or plaid. While this is not going to be a “quick fix” it is something to be looking at. I would say a significant percentage of the player base are stating that there is work needing to be done on the charactersmith.
I will continue to update this post with any more bugs I find from this point on. I would like and appreciate that if any persons decide to post in this thread that they keep itcivil and related to the topic.
