I think we should be able to swap out one thing (core, attribute, talent) as it is now, but improve 'anything' based on the best we have in our library. Isn't it enough to be farming for max rolls for each individual stat on pieces of gear and weapons to put in our library, as well as hoping for gear and weapons to drop with all but one of the stats we want on that gear? The way it is now, you have to hope for a magical drop that has all but one of the things you want, and all those things but the one at max value (or, it has everything you want, and only one thing is not at max value). Alternatively, some way to craft/obtain additional 'replacements' for an item, so you could work towards maxing out everything on any piece of gear or weapon.
Unless, all that is possible now, and I just don't know how to do it.![]()
I'm not against the time and effort, I'm against relying on RNG to build it to that extent. As it stands now, you have to wait until you get a drop with all max attributes you want (if you want to swap the talent), or all but one max attribute you want and a talent you want. I'm just wondering if there was a system you could put in place to slowly build up the resources you need to craft an enhancement that you could then apply to an item to allow a second stat to be replaced. Then you grind up the resources to create an enhancement on the item to allow a third, etc, until you eventually craft up the item to max stats of everything you want.
It would still be a grind, still effectively time gated, but remove the heavy reliance on RNG. Otherwise, it's just a lottery. You aren't really working towards anything, there's no progress. As it stands now, the recalibration library was interesting, working towards loading it up with max stats of everything, but now it seems like a waste of time to a large extent, because you can ever only apply one thing to any item. They might as well have made every item just have one enhancement, and you worked toward making that one thing the max level in the library, so you could apply that one thing to each item.
