system is running out of RAM

    Hey there!

Is there someone else experiencing problems with the game while running on Vilkan?
After a short period of time I receive the message that the system is running out of RAM. Thing is, this won't happen in DirectX.

    System Specs are:
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
MoBo: Gigabyte B450 I Aorus Pro WIFI
    GPU: RX 5700 XT
    RAM: 16GB DDR4, 3200MHz

Settings I tested were the Ultra und Ultmiate presets at 1080p

I run into the same issue on my i5 system running Vulkan. Haven't tried DX11 yet.

    i5 4570
    Radeon RX580 4GB
    8GB RAM

I don't experience this issue however on my other machine running Vulkan, but I have noticed performance seems to degrade over time.

    Xeon X5675
    GTX 1060 6GB
    24GB RAM

Upgraded the i5 from 8GB to 16GB today and Vulkan still uses all the memory available and then some resulting in unplayable performance.

DX11 does not exhibit this, but it has it's own problems with performance.

    Hey guys,

Thanks so much for your system specs and reports. I have forwarded these details up to the development team for investigation. I appreciate your patience while they investigate!

Thanks! No need to hurry, as long as DirectX works, it's not a big deal.

yes, there is. Go to the "Customize Controls" and click on the "Combat & Squad" tab. Second line is "aim" where you can choose between press, hold or double tap

I rolled the AMD drivers back to 19.9.3 and after two extended play sessions the issue has not resurfaced.

I was running the latest drivers previously 20.2.2.

Could just be luck or the latest version of drivers might not have installed correctly or some other damn thing. All I can suggest is that anyone who is experiencing this memory issue and is running an AMD card to try those older drivers.

Looking at the people in this thread the common thing among us all is the AMD video card and very possibly the latest or newer drivers.
