I have to agree, I mean it is good to continue in developing the immersive mode further, but that doesn't mean to turn Ghost Recon into another hardcore survival game. The focus should be put elsewhere, the core of what Ghost Recon was and should be, a tactical shooter with a good story, the AI Teammates and other of those things.Originally Posted by M4DBone Go to original post
The game is called "military-themed" but lets face it - it isnt. it has a lot more to do with MGS or Far cry than anything military. Its actually a tad closer to an adventure game and can benefit from UBI understanding its strengths. If it had AI teammates than it'd be more military but this type of story, settings and over all mechanics just dont say "military game".Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
as it is, i think a better balance between the systems could do a lot of good. currently crafting is so OP that in nullifies the restrictions on number of bandages or syringes completely. there is an economy, and not only it makes no sense, it either undermines the idea of crafting or the other way around. also, there is a very limited about of things you need to buy and you earn a lot of money fast so the economy is completely unbalanced (as it is in most games), there is stamina and there are cantines and there are skills regarding stamina - none of those things work, even on extreme settings. its all useless. and the rations? who da heck cares about 5% less damage or 10% more accuracy?!?
So much useless junk in one game, its mind-boggling!
So this topic just touched on one of the things that could be pretty easy to fix.
In fact, there are quit a few things that could be easily fixed and the new Ghost Experience is a fantastic start an a fantastic patch. I just really REALLY hope they will continue adding to it, and our discussions might help them figure out what we want, dont want, what's easy to improve and what isnt.
What a huge waste of potential
I personally would like to see a crafting (excludes weapon blueprints) setting in customization;
1. None - self-explanatory
2. Restricted - All Crafting and Purchases limited to Erewon
3. Semi-Restricted - Crafting in Bivouacs and Purchases in Erewon
4. Open - As is now
Weapon blueprint should be a second selective customization
On - Choose Weapon at Erewon or Bivouac
Partial - Erewon only
Off - No blueprints and must pick up weapons from fallen enemy.
Problem solved and everyone gets what they want.
I mean, people were marketed quote on quote a "realistic, gritty, tactical shooter" and the game comes out and it's not a "realistic, gritty, tactical shooter", of course people are giving feedback to turn this into the game they were advertised......it's not rocket science people.Originally Posted by TacticoolDelta Go to original post
To be fair, anyone that knew about all the drones and the Sith lord army should've known better than to expect anything remotely "realistic", "gritty" or "tactical".Originally Posted by Stomp0nMybaIls Go to original post
BP has a realistic gameplay. You can customize your immersive mode so fu.... hardcore. Then, if you think crafting oudoor is unrealistic...dont use the button. I think that the SyncShot can fly trough walls into a closed room is unrealistic, so I dont mark the enemy...I try to get inside. Its not rocket science people...but yeah, continue crying and dont focus on the real problems of this game.
