An idea for a hero for next year. The úlfheðnar.

Been here since the betas.. still play this game every day at least once. If for no other reason than the dailies.

My friends in discord and I have had this idea rolling around for quite a long while. Its for a hero we would like to see implemented.

Its for a Viking hero called the úlfheðnar. The wolf skin. (Úlfhéðinn (plural Úlfhéðnar) is an Old Norse term for a warrior with attributes parallel to those of a berserker , but with a lupine aspect rather than ursine; both terms refer to a special type of warrior capable of performing feats beyond the abilities of normal people.)

So, Berserker, means bear skin. The idea was that these warriors put the skin of a bear they had killed on, and using shamanistic type of rituals before combat, along with some amazing herbs and shrooms, they would envoke the animal into their combat.
Same also was done for wolf skins. Or the úlfheðnar.

This hero would be taller than the Berserker and Warlord class. But not as tall as the highlander. More of a linebacker bodystyle, with a much more aggressively wild posture from the standing. Not to all fours like the shaman.
This class would play as a RANGER archtype. With:
-traits focused on control/bow and bladed combat of either: 1 or 2 hand capable longsword, OR double short swords OR short sword and hand axe.
-It would be a hybrid of vanguard and assassin.
-The armor is leather and wolf themed
    - Last skill box would involve a similar skill to what Gudmundr uses with his wolves.
The activation of the skill would summon 2 wolves. The wolves are highly mobile. Much as they are in the arena in the story when Gudmundr summons them; and they will randomly attack heroes.
They are immune to strikes from soldiers and officers. but will die in two strikes from players.
    They do no damage.
They attack the opponent heroes, and hold them in place by gripping them by the forearm.
The player is then stuck in place wrestling their arm back, and unable to attack until they are hit by an opponent or opponent skill, or 3 seconds passes.
Once they are hit, or the three seconds passes, the wolves release and run around again for a couple of seconds and attack whatever is close again.
The skill last 12 seconds; at which time the wolves run away and disappear.

This final skill would fit into the kit of control and offset dps. The rest of the skills would be:

    S1: bodycount, tireless, rush
S2: revenge attacks, Bear trap, Doom Banner
S3: Long bow, Fury, Hand Axe
S4: Fear Itself, Nail bomb, Pack Leader (Summons 2 wolves)

I really think this hero could be a lot of fun, bring a fresh dynamic to the playing field, and would make for a solid hybrid Viking. So, I hope someone likes this and maybe gives it some attention.

This would be cool but they were depicted using spears/sheilds/ swords and occasionally a two handed dane axe. sometimes a spear and sword in each hand and they wore little to no armor aside from their pelts (much like their beserkers brethen).

I don't remember seeing it when you posted perks but one that increased damaged for allies would be good for it due to them hunting in packs unlike their bear brethren and were slightly smarter in terms of combat due to the "pack mentality"

Like i said would be a cool idea and would love to hear the howls from the pack of the Úlfhéndár

Edit: I forgot to mention that the wolf warriors didn't use any drugs or sike themselves up (as wolves don't do this)
