I kind of have to agree with OP here. It's not that they're particularly hard to deal with, they're just no fun. Regular (human) enemies will stagger when you hit them, will react to your movements, call out to their allies, etc.

Warhounds are just big dumb single-minded boxes that run around, don't really react much to anything you do, and just aren't really satisfying to engage with. To me they're an annoyance more than anything.

This game won't be worth playing at all by the time you lot are finished. It's fine now apart from bugs, surely. The dogs are easy to deal with and all have weak spots. That is the entire point of this game. Learn the NPCs weak spots, exploit them and become a more accomplished player please

Th elite and purple machine gunning ones need to slow there movement down a little, at least on console (Xbox). Since the last update they are less of a bullet sponge, but their movement speed seems too fast.

Right, I would like them to react a little more.
They do have weaknesses but those weaknesses feel a lot harder to deal with compared to humans and the even if you keep shooting them they still manage to run around.
The new Mini-gun & mortar warhounds will stop for a while if you shoot the joints of their legs near their body, but they start running around like nothing has happened after a short while, so it'd be nice if they slowed down once you shot their joints or maybe stagger if you shoot them with a shotgun from up-close.

SIMPLE. ADD A ******g obvious weak spot. Or LIMIT THE DOGS THAT SPAWN PER TIME.

I just did DARPA final boss fight Heroic several times, you spawn me 2 grenadier and 2 chaingun dogs. Not to mention other black tusk mobs and the boss who is ******g on immune. Tell me, master UBI wan Kenobi, how would you survive that onslaught?

Warhounds are now spider-man. Pentagon they are scaling walls and rafters to a point they can shoot you but you cant shoot them. Climbing ropes and areas we cant climb but they can. Those stupid sniper and machine gun turrents at a sliver of health left and they are zipping off across the map like the Flash.

I had one warhound on top me yesterday that it blocked me from moving. It literally caged me under it. I couldn't dive away or move away from it until it one shot me and killed me.

I will admit my best way of getting rid of them is trying to break off some of their armour and just aiming for the weak point I open. Grenades are a good way of destroying them, but as Shdw_Phnx said it is tricky to get them to stay still long enough. When I play in a group we usually try to coordinate several grenades around them so they have to walk into 1 of them.
Increase the size of their weakpoints. It's already hard enough to hit such a small target, much less when it's moving at speed AND shooting at you with spam of grenades or automatic fire.

Make it so that if you shoot off the weakpoints at the joints, they stay down until a tech comes to fix them, exactly the same as other mechanics. Turrets stay broken if you shoot their ammo drum, until their owner runs over to fix it. Mini-tanks stay immobile after you shoot their tracks. But Warhounds just get back up and run around at full speed after a few seconds.

Make them stagger if hit hard enough, the same as any other target in the game. Even heavies get staggered when you blow a piece of their armor off. But Warhounds just move and shoot at full speed until all their armor and health is gone.

Yeah pass, I don't want them to be removed just because some guy has a problem with them. You have tools at your disposal to deal with them.
