Robodogs are dumb, unfun square bullet sponges

Seriously, they have to be one of the least fun enemies in any game I've played. It's a box on 4 legs that either snipes you from across the map, or runs around lobbing grenades or constant minigun spam. Why the heck would you think people wanted MORE varieties of them? It's not even the difficulty (I know they can be neutralized with an EMP pulse) they're just annoying and it's not even satisfying killing them. I avoid any activity where they show up like the plague (e.g. invaded/black tusk stuff).

I know it'll never happen but if they were removed from the game it would be a lot better. Just... delete them.

Sniper ones, sure. The other two, unless you catch them at the right moment, will just walk right out of the range of the grenade.

Also, incidentally, grenades aren't 'always' the best solution. The dogs have a health damage which grenades will do, since they hit from below with no armor. If you don't kill it with a grenade however, you then have to hit it with another, or waste your weapon clip getting through the outer armor anyway, thereby making the use of grenades somewhat pointless unless built for their use.

I can definitely agree that the Warhounds are a challenge to deal with at the best of times. What sort of changes would you want to see to see to make them more manageable?

I will admit my best way of getting rid of them is trying to break off some of their armour and just aiming for the weak point I open. Grenades are a good way of destroying them, but as Shdw_Phnx said it is tricky to get them to stay still long enough. When I play in a group we usually try to coordinate several grenades around them so they have to walk into 1 of them.

They're lame as hell and I'm not even talking about difficulty. They just don't seem like they have a place in a Division game, like they don't fit, you know? They're OTT, like the whole BT faction, but robodogs are the worst. Ask yourself, if you've played D1 did it ever cross your mind that robodogs would be a good fit in this series?

Honestly I'm not sure how to make them less irritating. The biggest thing for me is the lack of feedback when you shoot them. Yeah you can pop weakpoints but they just kneel and you're shooting a stationary box instead of a moving one. At least with the human tanks you can make them flinch when you pop their armor or cripple their attacks with taking out weakpoints.

Maybe cut their armor in half (at least) and make them stagger or at least react in some way when you start hitting their soft bits. Sparks flying, "glitching" out as your bullets are shooting through their internals... that type of thing. Or really focus in on weakpoints and make them take out large chunks of health or permanently disable them in some way when you pop them.

Just do something so they're not blank bullet sponges that eat too many rounds.

I know what you mean especially those elite dog hounds they shoot faster and move faster and have way way more damage than a purple doghound, the chaingun dog is easy to take care of but the really annoying ones is the grenade dog and the sniper, the sniper elite can one shot you if your solo/in a group so it dont even matter and sometimes they can just hit you from crazy stupid angles just from pinpoint accuracy, and the grenade dogs they just spam hella nades and its kinda chaotic and annoying especially with other AI spamming there skills and crap at you, its just too much to take in and overwhelming and not enjoyable at all.

    Too chaotic...

Warhounds don't usually attack as singles. They're mixed with more warhounds and usually a dozen enemies. Coordinating anything to down one is laughable, especially when they have ridiculous mobility and stupid-high levels of armor. They should have serious weaknesses to offset how OP they are.

Given that a robot cannot be infected with the disease that decimated the population in the Division scenario, robots absolutely make sense.

What I cannot seem to reconcile is the Outcast's suicide bombers. I get the concept of it on the suicide rusher in relation to the story, but when you have 4 of them rush you at a time (as has happened on many occasions - if you haven't experienced this, try an Outcast zone on a higher difficulty, you're bound to run into it.) you start to wonder. Outcasts are supposedly members, and relatives that survived the Roosevelt Island quarantine - how many suicide runners do you think that population is going to generate?

Long story short, I'm not against the Robodogs with regards to legitimacy, but limit their numbers! They're not a cheap commodity! But, that's one of the overall rubs in the game - too many ELITE units means they're not so ELITE after all. They're just bullet-sponges.

I think the main problem is if it is 1 by it self, its not a major issue.
Its when you have a combination of specific ones ( mainly the mortar dog ) then things get annoying.
You have to dodge pinpoint grenades and second you dodge you get instantly killed for moving out of cover.

In Large open areas Mortar dogs are fine you can move cover to cover easily, in small areas where cover is limited and its essentially a tunnel - this becomes hair pulling.
