Have not been playing with editor since early 2018. Have there been any changes to the editor since then? Some new models, changes in limitation and other staff?
Duo to this corona situation, i have time to dive in again, so im downloading now.
Last time i had fun with editor, limitations of amount of Ai per map was killing fun for me. Is there a way to remove limitations if nothing has happen officially on that term since 2018?
Nothing official, but be sure to download Steve64b mod for the editor https://www.nexusmods.com/farcry5/mods/39?tab=files
(remove budget limits)
From the description :
Probably the most extensive Editormod for Far Cry 5, offering more features for all you Map Builders:
* 20,000+ ADDITIONAL assets (100+ weapons, 20000+ objects, textures, AI, etc)
* NEW scripting actions, use MORE per script too!
* Some scripting (and AI) options for multiplayer maps
* Various QoL tweaks
If possible, that would probably be governed by one of the new Control Zones.
Haven't analyzed them all, you can examine https://steve.farcry.eu/files/FC5_Co...efinitions.zip if you like.
Thanks will have that in mind, when i come to, for me, the best part of map making(placing and managing AI)
One more thing that i need to ask. I wont be able to play my map from the game, because i will exceed budget, and wont be able to upload it. So is there a way to play it in fullscreen mod somehow? I forgotten is that possible.
Also is there restart hot key while in explore or play mode? Im exploring destructible shapes, and use granates a lot and always have to exit map and go back again to restart amount of granates.
Also Steve64b thanks very much for the effort you put in your mod for map editor! So far, thing i like to most is (aside most obvious one budget limit removal) are ghost cars whit i can fill parking with, i needed these so much last time i was making map! I also like community made staff like that big crane! Good thing you added those!
Is there maybe some database where you can download or upload your costume made things? Im currently working on the building that could be partly destructed, so i could upload that.
To bad more people did not discover beauty of this editor and amount of fun you can have creating your playground.
Thanks Ubi for making it possible, and thanks again Steve for making it even better!
You can't run the editor in true fullscreen mode and as far as I know can't play maps ini the game without having them uploaded.
There is also no way to restart the explore/play session, other than exiting the mode and re-entering it.
You can set infinite ammo in Modifiers, so you'll have infinite grenades.
And yeah, my editormod allows publishing maps even if they're overbudget, so the budget usually is not really a problem. Only issue that may occur is if you make a map too complex for the upload to succeed; the resulting mapfile may not be larger than 10-12MB I believe. If it gets larger, then you should flatten big areas of terrain or remove some vegetation patches from them.
