When it was bumped up with the Terminator patch I was concerned, but it wasn't really too bad. Seems normal now. But with the latest update? I can't go two minutes trying to get from location A to B without running into something. I know people were complaining about the 'empty' world and all, but this just feels like too much. Especially the aerial patrols. Choppers are much faster and more frequent now. Azraels are also considerably more frequent. In a ten-minute takedown of a Behemoth, I was flown over by choppers four times and two separate Azraels. And that's in combat, which never used to happen - they always stopped when you started in on a base location or engaged a drone area. It's almost as frustrating as having an Azrael appear and fly over you when you're in the middle of getting side mission dialog from some random person in the wild. I personally think the patrols were just right prior to this update.
Personally, I like the increased patrol rate (sorry acidchylde). It makes me slow down and pay attention to my surroundings.
Perhaps Ubisoft should add a new option to the Ghost Experience parameters, 'Patrol Frequency'. You could choose from Default, Seldom or Frequent. Couldn't hurt, right?
No apology needed. I know some people like it and want more. Felt like the world was empty and with the new frequency feel more 'hunted' like 'it was supposed to be'. I just find it annoying to be trying to progress a mission or go somewhere and have to stop and cover every few hundred meters, or engage the threat. Introducing a new option/setting would certainly be an option and in the spirit of player choice and everything.
Foot patrols is fine... not hard to deal with or avoid.
The stupid amount of helicopters flying over and those azreal(?)... whatever their name is flying over is really stupid. The only relief you get from them is inside an enemy base.
Weve even been hit with those two while trying to fight a behemoth... that... made life really interesting.
