I would rather have the backpack trophy and some kind of gear dye. The exotics with the exception of 2 or 3 are garbage. The trophy at least shows you put in the time and have some skill. It's nice to be able to distinguish from the rabble 😂Originally Posted by retro1236 Go to original post
me.. i screwed up by trying to double and triple dip the objectives... so for 1.... don't do that..
just focus on 1 objective.
And I understand you said OP you tried many attempts.. so I am unsure how further attempts will differ.. my only suggestion is.. try doing 6 positive kills first... then 5 negative..to ensure the sequence is properly recognized.
I also think things like suiciders probably don't get counted or recognized properly... so.. when you get those.. sure you kill them.. but I wouldn't count it..just to be sure.
Also.. i did melee enemies to change their polarity (when i needed to) so that shouldn't be an issue. But if that still doesn't seem to work.. then maybe you will have to go for straight 6 positives.. (no melee colour changing them)..then 5 negatives.. (no melee colour changing them)...
I got mine on maybe 3rd attempt bc i screwed up the first 2 tries.
I run shield/pistol ofc.. and on PC.. if that matters at all.
I got the magnet reward and didn't do the last 2 objectives on day 4.. bc NO.
I already did signature weapon kills on day 3.. and I ain't gona hunt down BTs with grenades..that's too much.. i got SHD levels to farm..!!!
I agree this is a poor event in the season in terms of challenges.. It's not made for group-play and the rewards are not worth the (very grindy) effort.. I also stopped after getting the exotic cache, as I could not get myself to put in the extra time just for a backpack trophy I'm never gonna use.. I think Massive knew this event was questionable, hence the ability to turn it on and off..Originally Posted by GeneralPDA Go to original post
And then to have bugs in challenge registration as well.. I also could not get the 5 of each in order challenge, even after doing it 100% correct for sure.. Nah, poor event, not much fun..
There is a far easier way if you're still stuck.
Go to Jefferson Plaza mission (or any mission of your choice).
Start the mission and kill one positive (or negative if that's the first set).
Then run back up the escalator and restart the mission.
Kill 4 more of one polarity (restarting the mission after each kill) to get the first five.
Them go for the other five doing the same thing.
Cheap tactic....yes.
But it works.
Kap.
Isn't that way to tedious?
Pick a mission on "normal" and start it as usual. When the first enemies appear make sure to only kill the positive ones. After that, melee one negative enemy to change their polarity. Now kill all positive enemies and repeat melee attacks and kills as described. Kill at least 6 positive enemies, just to be on the safe side. Then start killing the only the negative enemies once you encounter the next mob. Melee the positive ones, change their polarity, kill.
On normal you should not have any trouble with melee attacks (maybe don't play a glas canon, though...) or kills, so this task should be a rather quick one.
I did it the same way many mention. I started the FEMA mission on normal using a shield build. Melee each enemy until they are the polarity you want, then kill them. Note that this method also counts for the task of switching the fireteam polarity.
The one I had a problem with is the destroying of weak points before killing them. I used the firefly demolisher but it was very in consistent.
