Immersive mode - death is not punishing

just started the game. Really like immersive mode. BUT!!!!
What's a point of limited meds, resources, ammo, e.t.c if - when you die - you respawns with full health, full ammo, full medkits, full everything.
death is not punishing - it is bad.
Hope developers will improve immersive mode.
I suggest to make respawn with gear that you have on the moment of you death
or when you die - you lose everything in your gear, except the pistol

    I agree.

I'm not a fan of permadeath but as it stands, respawning with full ammo and equipment kills much of the immersion and makes death essentially meaningless.

There should be an option for how punishing death is, ie:

    Ammo, Consumables, Credits and XP:

    Full
Same (ie what you had when you died)
    Loose Some
    Loose Most
    Loose All

    Weapons:

    Keep
    Small Chance to Loose
    High Change to Loose
    Always Loose

Finally, to spice things up a little I thought it would be good if there was a chance the game respawned you in a random location on the map, and stripped all weapons and supplies. I liken this to you being almost killed, kidnapped and left somewhere for dead. That would definitely mix things up!

I think they need to rework the death mechanic all together with a full animation.
    Similar to Farcry 3.

Where Home steaders come and shoot through, pull you up and put you into the back of a van.
    Take you to a Camp.

    But you have no ammo,
some weapons and equipment maybe missing
    Etc.
