    Far Cry 4 Map editor doesn't load?

    Far Cry4 Map editor only seems to work intermittently, and when it does it takes a crazy amount of time to load - at least 10 minutes, sometime 20 minutes to load.
    Other times it just hangs on the loading screen forever.


    I found a few other people have had this problem but have been unable to find any fixes

    - have re verified steam install
    - far cry 4 is not running in the background
    - I am opening the editor from the in game menu


    Specs:
    Windows 10 64bit
    8g Memory
    Nvidea GTX 960

    what CPU ? you do know the steam version of the map edit program breaks the game right ? its been busted for a year now .. and steam never fixed it

    BACK UP YOUR SAVE FILE FIRST ..that information is also listed in the tips section on how to do this step or look here

    (*Note the Uplay only version of Far Cry 4 does not have this PROBLEM .only the STEAM version of the game seems to have an issue with the far cry 4 map edit program )
    PLEASE see the TROUBLESHOOTING TIPS section PINNED TO THE TOP OF THE FORUMS on STEAM , as that info about the problem has been posted there for over 1 year
