I read through most of the replies in this forum, and seen a lot of good points. Like, a suggestion for improvement in consoles, reasons why they can’t change the speed, and etc. However, I have two suggestions that I think what the developers should do. They could make the really “spammy” characters (Like jormun, orochi, and etc) weaker. It makes sense for a really fast character to not do as much damage (At least enough to not spam), especially when they could in hit in really quick succession. I’m not saying to REALLY weaken them but to get that light damage a little lower to force players to not resort to spam. It would also give less skilled players a chance to fight a “spammer”.
My other suggestion (if the first one is not possible) Increase the stamina requirement for “spamming”. It would cause them to not spam, and use different moves and tactics. For example, the orochi can keep doing the light attacks, but 9 out of the 10 times he still has enough stamina to go spam another person, right after. I know this will cause a change in the mechanics of the game, but it would really help with the toxicity in the PlayStation community. I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can maybe read through this and tell me if anything is wrong or missing. I would like to see how I can improve my suggestions if possible. Thank you.
Because it's true with the exception of Highlander's defensive stance, Zhanhu's finisher, and Raider's top lights pretty much. I play Zhanhu a lot, so I personally do understand that 600ms lights are a pretty big risk to throw.Originally Posted by Armuun_74 Go to original post
What I'm essentially saying to OP is: Highlander mains have the kind of attack speeds you prefer, and they don't feel comfortable throwing out lights in neutral. Do you want this for all heroes? Because Highlander mains don't want it for Highlander.
Yes, if everything is reactable, I think best parry punish + largest health pool = best character. So the reasons why LB is played a lot now become even stronger.Originally Posted by Chump94 Go to original post

OK fine I give up.Just make us the slowest, most predictable hero in the game. Just make sure we stay at the bottom of the power ranking from here on out. Go ahead and ignore the fact we need some kinda rework,to make us viable. Go ahead and ignore the fact there has been TONS of ideas ect posted on these forums.Go ahead and ignore the fact that we have been near dead last for the last 2 years. Just go ahead and do what you've been doing all along...IGNORING YOUR CUSTOMERS!!!!!!
I play on console and can defend from literally every character quite well. Only thing I don't like rn is bashing. Black prior and JormAAHngder aka screaming canary, are the only reason why. One has unreactable bashes (bp) the other has the most annoying squawks and an actual bash mix up that leads to huge damage..
Seriously how TF do you all enjoy such a stupid character like jorm... Just mashing and bashing and each time he screams the executions i get don't cause him enough pain to satisfy me. I'm haunted by his high pitch squeals. So damn annoying. Please nerf his voice... Gonna go make a post about this actually
The main issue with light spam I see is the stun/frozen mechanic where when one light attack hits, then the next light attacks continuously hit. I'm ok if 2 or 3 light hits connect, but the problem is that this progresses with the infinite chain light spam where you just get constantly hit, stunned/frozen even when you change your block position or dodge and it just feels like none of your inputs are registering, especially on console. The only thing I can do is roll away and by that time over half of your health is gone from light spam. once you're out of stamina or constantly bashed, ringing nailed, etc. you get stuck in a continuous light spam hit because you can't even see the screen to try to block or dodge. this is the light spam game mechanic that I think many players suffer from and it is not fun.
These changes aren't present in live now, but in the Testing Grounds the game gave frame advantage to the defender after light finishers. Meaning your light opener beats them restarting their chain all over again, so you get to at least start off with that and pivot into your own offense from there.Originally Posted by DARTHWANGER Go to original post
Additionally, it became possible to dodge Orochi and Nuxia's chain lights, which is something we'd consider for other heroes as well if it's seen as successful.
