    Anyone miss TU7?

New content is always welcome, harder difficulties sure, new toys- weapons, gear, library, loot drop improvements etc (although that's yet to be seen personally) but I sure miss TU7.

TU7 was much more "fun" for me.

I don't validate my life through video games so the gameplay was just fine and I enjoyed it.

This new version is straight out of some developer's vision of Dante's Inferno.

I'm not a masochist so TU8 is currently on the shelf and I have no intention of buying WoNY at this time.
(Really glad I waited to pull the trigger on WoNY, I don't like rewarding shoddy work)

Well said and i bought the expansion so i can tell you that we are cannon fodder for the NPC's right now. This is their game at the moment to enjoy it seems and all my friends expressed the same frustration along with the many issues that have plagued our enjoyment since we started the expansion.

TU7 is very missed by myself and my friends. This gear 2.0 was a slap down on agent power. It was really a mess. THe buffed the enemy to high heck and neutered agents and skills at the same time. Double edged sword for sure. Funny how they were not afraid to go big on the changes for the update, but now that they see how out of line they really are, they only want to make small adjustments to bring it back in line. Come on, get real. What is the pint of skill mods anymore? They are all worthless. Armor is pointless. Fun builds are gone. Actually, most of the FUN is gone. During TU7 we played a lot, and were having fun, my friends and I. Now the game is just a boring slog of frustration and cheap NPC tactics for crap drops that do not reflect the content difficulty.

It's different, there are some nice changes to it.
At the same time there are some serious setbacks that trash the new fun.

T-7 was starting to get repetitive for me, I had a max'd out skill build for months & I felt like I was gaining nothing by continuing to play. As much as I disliked the initial concept & release of T-8, at least it's given me some room to work towards stuff again. Although not the way I'd prefer (would've loved a new gs cap & gear without the revamp), still it offers just enough to liven up the game a bit, at least to me. So it's a mixed bag imo as I miss the rather balanced feel of T-7, however the refresh has surprisingly started to get to me in a good way. It's not without horrible issues though, from gamebreaking disconnects & failing revive hives, to aholes spamming dps glitches in the darkzone. Patience is key right now, considering little to no testing is done by this dev before big drops.

I don't miss TU7 at all and prefer TU8. I realise there are a few issues that need to be resolved but my feeling is that the game is moving in the right direction generally and will become better in the long term once said issues have been addressed and balancing gets to a reasonable place.

I would not be playing, if it had not been for TU8, so I think it is great. It is much easier for me to figure things out now.
