Me and my friend played through the story on co-op and decided he'd send me his files so i could gain access to the story unlock content which i helped unlock as we've play it all together due to the utterly ridiculous feature of not allowing progress on both accounts, however i do understand why that is in place, to prevent spoilers if one player if far ahead in the story.

so i tried to download and install the files to my local saves and i get the granite-20000 error which prompts me to start a new game entirely and i can only assume this is due to some anti-consumer prevention related to the micro transactions available.

so then i re-installed my native save to the file only to be greeted with the same error. i have now lost my progress in game and must start fresh. which is annoying as ill be playing for hours before i get to a point in the game which i haven't played 3 or 4 times.

i contact support and in classic ubisoft style they told me they'd raised it with the dev team, AKA do one.

it seems that every title similar to far cry, they expect you to only have one save and given you loose free-mode once completing the game, just play it through once and move on, in the interest of selling more micro transactions and preventing more than one person playing a copy of the game, my dad or brother for example could not play the game unless i delete my save and suck it up, unless you manage the saves in a way that allows this (not possible through steam purchased farcry 5 due to the lack of the CPY.ini file that plots the save path)

so I'd like to know who else has a problem with this, and encourage the devs to enable save sharing and multiple saves, and move the micro transactions to a Uplay account level where you spend silver bars in a save or on your account for skins ect, and let me play the game properly.

If they're helpful with me, i might outline micro-transaction bugs where you don't even need to buy them, so they can bleed yet more money out of the consumers.
