    The State of Exotics

    How can this be acceptable on Heroic world tier

    Chameleon
    6% Assault rife damage
    5% Damage to health
    4% Crit chance

    Pestilence
    8% LMG Damage
    7% Damage to targets out of cover
    4% Damage to Armour

    Both Items below 50% of max role.

    This does not make me and want to farm exotics. Roles like this don't make them seem like exotic items.
    I'm sure I'm not the only one to think this.

    Honestly my problem is that most of them feel like gimped guns because they have wacky talents that are not that useful

    They should allow for you to re-roll all the specs from your library on them except the talent. That way you could get to all god roll numbers on them by farming.

    I'm sure I'm not the only one to think this.
    Whats worse even if those 2 items had max rolls they still worse then a decent rolled yellow. In chameleons case a blue would beat it.

    if there are stats on it it must be atleast above 10% and to 30%. that is a exotic...

    Solo'ing pre-patch with the pestilence, i found it extremely useful because i used to start shooting the red enemies, and as each one died the stacks would transfer to the next and so on - i found by the time i was ready to start shooting at the elites, most of them had either died already from tick dmg or were down to half hp and easier to kill.

    This gun always seemed op to me before, and now it seems even more so.

    The other exotics seem weird since the patch though - who is melee'ing npcs with a shotgun?

    Theres no upgrade system for them either - it kinda LOOKS like the bars will go up over time or can be upgraded, but this is not the case. It feels weird looking at those stats and thinking "ill keep that so i can upgrade it later" and not being able too.

    Presumably they are different now because its possible to become op with the talents on them and the right rolls, and the right backup talents on the gear. Guess we need to find those talents and figure out what playstyle huh.

    Wouldnt be something daft like the sweet dreams is OP if you pair it with a tank setup and melee everything? How to kill elites tho ...

    Right, Exotics have been dismally bad since the WoNY update to the point that there really is no point in using them.
    They have low drop rates, but that doesn't guarantee you with a good roll so you literally keep farming them with hopes of getting something good.

    If they're not going to give us good rolls, they might as well jack up the drop rate so we can farm them a little more efficiently.
    Or better if they allowed us to recalibrate Exotics, so we can at least fix any crappy rolled exotic we get.
    The exotics just don't feel that special anymore...
    (I wish they had retained their second talent too.)

    If Massive doesn't want us to use them, why not just erase them entirely from the game?
    At least that would make things easier for us.

    Not only have they been horribly reworked, Having some of them locked behind group content screws solo players pretty harshly.

    Right.
    I basically play solo, so I've pretty much given up on all the group content exotics.
    I like using the shield, so I'm a little worried that the rumored Tank Build gear will be a raid exclusive...
