Mic Not Working, No VOIP, PS4- Help?

    Hi guys,
I am a newbie here so sorry for that :-)
I am also fairly new to The Division 2 and I have only just managed to level up to level 11, mainly through co-op play. The problem is that I have a headset with a mic which is good enough in terms of quality and definitely does work, I calibrated it on the PS4 console and so all the functionality is there.

But in-game when I enable Voip in 'settings' I get no sound from my mic no matter where the threshold is set. And therefore in game play I have no idea how to voice chat. I can use the downward arrow on the control D pad to post text chat ok, but I am a bit clueless and confused about Voip.

Does anyone have any ideas please?

    thanks,
    BJ

I haven't personally used VOIP (every time I enable it in a game it seems to take about 5 minutes before I have some child screeching in my ear ) but here's a page about the VOIP settings... did you check the Push to Talk setting and make sure your mic is enabled? https://support.ubisoft.com/en-US/Fa...us=noLoginData

No I didn't see any instructions about 'push to talk' maybe that is what I am missing. I will check the link you gave and see
    Thank you grfordfan very much.

    Hi,
I checked last night, and the example that is shown on the guide (the one you find with the link you kindly provided) is not the same as what my game actually has. It seems that although 'Voip' is there in the list of settings, it doesn't work at all, it's dead. The mic is not picked up no matter what threshold you set, and the 'push to talk' option has been removed. Does that mean that voice chat has been disabled in-game?

    Thanks.
