Yeah, I'm feeling pretty burned by Ubisoft with this. Effectively being punished for not playing a game I spent money while people who have paid nothing get a really cool bonus.

Understand it was maybe an extra way to attract new players who may go on to purchase the game but why continue to lock it after the free weekend? It has nothing to do with Covid, it just doesn't make sense to me.

Hi Ubi/devs, I wanted to voice my opinion on the free weekend issue. I understand wanting to promote your upcoming game (looks great btw) but it seems that it’s at the expense of wanting to give the new player base a sense of exclusivity by making it available for those who downloaded the game on the free weekend as others have played the game and finished or not picked it up recently as it had come out over 2 years ago and providing less than a week to claim the Ezio set seems ridiculous to me! I’m sorry if I come off as short sighted but I’m hoping you guys see the amount of sadness this decision has made for the many fans of the series and maybe reconsider the decision to have it locked for only that weekend, even if that means only adding it to the store for purchase.

This should not have been locked behind a free weekend. I play this game and buy a crap ton and you give it to people who have not even been playing it until the quarantine? That’s a great way to piss off your loyal customers. Thanks for rewarding those who have not been around to invest a ton of helix! I was just getting ready to buy ac3 on the PS4 but this ticks me off, you can keep your stupid game and I’ll keep my money

Must admit after reading others comments I’ve had a change of heart.
It does come across as a very dirty sneaky, underhanded decision on Ubisofts part to only make the outfit available for a very short time during lockdown, when a lot of people should have had the time to play the game but couldn’t due to the virus either killing them or someone they know.
And to pitch it to attract new players during theses times is absolutely disgusting.
It actually shows Ubisofts true colours which is pretty damn bad.
I can actually see how the decision was made,
Board meeting...
Boss: “How can we get new players to give us more money? John??”
John: “well...”
Steven: “I know!..well you know how the world is in lockdown, well let’s take advantage of it! The people will be stuck at home with absolutely nothing to do with loads of cash! Let’s tease potential new players with a one off reward but only if they get the game during a short time period and they will also get the game free! After the time expires they’ll be hooked and will have to pay for any extras!”
Susan: What about the loyal fans who bought the game?”
Steven: “Awww we already got all their money!”
Boss: “Make it so!”

Shame on Ubisoft.

I'm a honor Assassin's Creed player, I play every each of them and Ezio is abosolutely my favourite character. I always want Eizo's outfit in Odessy, but it is hilarious that I missed the only chance to get it. I didn't even realize there is a free weekend event?! When I realize I missed this and Ubisoft didn't even give players like me to pay for Ezio's outfit... I really want to say if you put Ezio's outfit in store and give me a chance to use Helix credit to buy Ezio's outfit I will be very happy to do that!

This is a good way to lose customers. You are locking away a reward that you give for FREE to people who played the game for FREE to your PAYING customers. LMAO, you serious Ubisoft?

I became aware of this promotion from an article on my Google news feed and had to download the entire game again to get it ..... Odd thing is I wore it only once because it just looks kinda ridiculous in 432 BC Greece ,,,,,, It's doesn't even fit in well in Atlantis IMO ...... There was a couple of extra piece in Origins that I obtained that I felt the same way about, they just don't fit in

Agree, that's why I use it but with other skins.
