I highly doubt that it will stay locked forever because think about future AC fans, completely new to the franchise, who will be buying and playing Odyssey at some point in the future - they'd be out of luck too through no fault of their own. All the pre-order bonuses (even in other Ubisoft games) and other supposedly "exclusive" things have been unlocked eventually so I don't see why this would be any different.

In stead of posting about someone liking the game, which a few million people already have said, how about replying to the Ezio issue. A message on March 17 that the armor set was going to be available on March 19 is stupid and alienating. It doesn’t even give the youtubers a chance to put up a video and have many people see it. I log in periodically and check if the armor is available and when I click on it, I get ticked that I turn off the game. I’ve bought On ps3-ac2, acb, acr, the Ezio collection; on ps4 I streamed the games from the ps store, ive bought the hd Ezio collection, if any game makes that skin available I buy it. I can almost guarantee if I log in to any other ac game I own; I have that skin on. I understand if I don’t get it for free. If you had it available for purchase I’d buy it. It’s not fair that anyone whose played that game already and was playing something else did not get the chance to purchase or use Ezio. I will not log in or purchase or play anything else until you fix this stupid lockEd content. You want to lock something like the hammer of Jason, fine but stop being jerks and unlock a beloved character...at least for purchase So everyone who loves this game can play in a sandbox that feels like Ancient Rome with Ezio

Joining the thread to join in with my frustrations about being told on March 17th and me personally finding out I couldn’t have this item because I clicked on it in the store around A week too late. Such garbage that they lock a beloved character behind a 3 day event and we only were told 2 days prior. All the YouTubers I follow for this game didn’t even have time to put up a video saying don’t miss! Please fix this. I’ll pay for it like I did a bunch of other stuff that was pointless. At least this will be worth it

It's linked into ubi club. So I reckon once you buy, then play AC Valhalla, & discover Ezio, it unlocks Ezio's outfit in Odyssey?

I get the limited window idea. I got the ezio outfit, but wasn't really looking for legacy outfits in Odyssey! I was always content to play my character in the stuff that was designed for that character in each game! The way I see it, each character has their own look! Like why would I want to play Shay as Bayek? Ubi Club has always had dreadful rewards! Just cut out ubiclub, unless you can actually offer something useful, instead of these token items that have zero impact on the game!!!

This Pisses me off. I JUST reinstalled AC:O to hopefully finish it before Valhalla and say the outfit. At first I shrugged it off as "oh well guess I can't get it that's annoying..." then I saw the perks. It is all about assassination and counter heroic striking... Which is how I kept trying (and failing) to play.

Also I learn that not only did I not hear about it they also dropped it on hell week. I remember that weekend its the week after everyone finally began to panic over covid and resource shortages. I spent that whole week doing overtime, coming home, passing out, waking up and going back to work.

It's so good to see this thread is still alive, but a shame to see the Ezio gear is still locked even with so much feedback from the community. I sincerely hope Ubisoft Forward makes it available again. It just straight up disrespectful and selfish to offer it only on a free weekend. A weekend to entice new players; players that haven't been dedicated to franchise; players that aren't going to pay full price for the game and buy it on a whim... 1 and a half years after its release when the dedicated players are clearly still enjoying the game and sadly aren't available to take advantage of the 3 day window...

Edit: We had the first free weekend in march and a free weekend for Origins in June, perhaps there will be a second Odyssee free weekend in September.
