I can't believe all this whining. This is nearly a 2 year old game now and this is very common for a company to run a special promo and end it.
When it's done, it's done, what you spend on their game is pointless because you got what you paid for.
They obviously don't want to promise anything to players who missed it but they'll probably run it again in the future.

Exactly .... What is the point of me taking part in a special promotion if I'm going to get the rewards anyway?

Do you go to a store a month after a sale is over and demand you get the sale price?

Furthermore, there is no need to keep on taunting fans who didn't get it just because they don't spend their lives on these forums.

For the record I wouldn't mind buying the damn thing but it's not possible so ironically that's a big "allez-vous faire voir chez les grecs" to people who do have a life or who were in trouble during that free weekend (which happened during a time when some of us had to work or couldn't be bothered with games).

I did preorder the ultimate edition of Odyssey and I'm still going to preorder the ultimate edition of Valhalla but I can't say that I approve of the way they're handling these rewards and I'm not alone judging by the posts in this thread.

Either sell the thing and make some cash in the process or take it down from the store so it doesn't taunt us every time we launch the game.

Last but not least what you guys have been saying is not correct!

Some rewards that were locked before have been unlocked for everyone (I remember the Hoplite Dory was one of them).

What makes it so aggravating is that here we're talking about a throwback to the most popular character in the AC franchise and a fan favourite and not just another spear or sword.

Locking it behind a time limited event is not cool especially given the circumstances and not communicating on this only makes their team look bad.

Ok but nobody is taunting you ^. I'm amazed that they even added more content this far into the life of the game - they didn't have to offer anything at all.
They try to do something nice and then end up being trashed because people didn't get in on it for whatever reasons.

If they put it in the store, they'd get trashed for putting a price on it too.
It doesn't matter what they do or how they do it, people are going to complain every angle of it, but it could be a nice idea to offer it thru Sargons setting the win rate very high on it if possible?
Not that some complaints aren't legit.

I missed out on a black Underworld / smoldering effect horse (horses are the main thing I want from my Orichalcum & I almost have every one of them) & I've religiously done the daily/weeklies from launch date to today -
I heard from other players that this horse I'm trying to get was available to buy at Sargons a long time ago but I missed out on it (there's been a total of about 17 days I was without internet and had a vacay in Florida where their Xbox was not registering my gamertag info so I couldn't play ACOD online there) -
I didn't demand that Ubi put it back in the Sargon store to buy becuz I couldn't get it when it was available.
I lose out until I can hopefully win it in a Vase. I'll keep trying till they cancel the Live Ori content.
It sux but I'll live either way.

Then just buy the horse, there is nothing stopping you.

The point is some people have a life, and so miss a 4 day only event. Some people have spent $300+ buying everything in this game, and then not to be able to get this is frustrating.

Well I do have a life, I wanted a horse that I thought I could get and found out that it's part of DLC & it was never in the Sargon store and I can't get it unless I buy the DLC which I'm not going to do. It's not a horse that's in the store to purchase separately either.
That's the way it is and I'm not complaining about that or whining that they should make it available any other way becuz I want it.

If you start a new game you can't get that horse again until you play the Atlantis DLC again ...... I don't think you can get the Hourglass version of Phobos from Sargon either and it's only available with the Deluxe and Ultimate versions of the game .... I was kind of disappointed there is no Deluxe version of Valhalla and you can only get the extras in the Ultimate version ..... It was the same price to buy the Deluxe and then buy the Season Pass later, the advantage was you weren't out 40 bucks if you decided you didn't like the game enough to play the DLC but you still got the extra bonuses, the Hourglass Phobos, a Rare and an Epic Gear set and the 4 hour XP/Drachmae boost although they did make the Rare set and XP/Drachmae boost available from the Ubisoft Club eventually and you can get the Epic gear pieces from Sargon. Basically Origins had the same set up, the Deluxe Version gave you an extra horse skin, a nice armor set and a couple of poison weapons that I used for most of the game which I felt was worth the extra 10 bucks

I was kind of disappointed to see the Deluxe version go away with Valhalla but maybe it didn't sell well enough to justify keeping but I felt is was a good value in both Origins and Odyssey

I remember my Preorder bonus thru Gamestop was the black Unicorn.... that was definitely worth the preorder through them. I buy any brand new games thru Gamestop stores only.

Since I never buy any DLC or versions of games other than Standard, I didn't even know there was another version of Hourglass.
I'll do a search and see what it looks like in Deluxe version. I really love riding Hourglass around. With the amount of horses I've gotten, I usually switch them out constantly all thru my game.

Again (and to Ubisoft), I have no complaints with the Sargon system and appreciate that they let us play to win store items <3

I didn't know about Valhalla not having a Deluxe version but they'll probably have plenty of things to keep us busy and stocked full of items to play with
I don't expect Valhalla to be any smaller.. or having less to offer than Odyssey. We'll see but what's really gonna suck is Cyberpunk coming out around the same time.
I don't want to rush thru either game!

I don't really like the unicorns because of the rainbow crap coming off their feet but if I could turn that off I would definitely use them ..... Hourglass is my main horse, I use the Mycenaean Steed in Athens because of the Blue and the Spartan Renegade horse for Sparta and the Spartan missions .... I also use the Orphnaeus from the Atlantis DLC because the glowing red eyes makes him easier to find in the dark .... I like the way the winged horses look but they are impossible to hunt from so I don't use them ...... I also just steal horses a lot because they don't disappear after every cutscene which always annoys the hell out of me ...... Complete a simple daily or message board quest and turn around and your horse is long gone ..... but if you stole a plain horse most of the time it's still there ..... It doesn't make a lot of sense to me ..... In Athens a lot of poor saps get assassinated just for their horse, especially archers because it fulfills a kill for an engraving for killing an archer, helps fulfill another engraving for assassination kills and often helps you complete a "Kill 10 Athenian Archers" Legendary Contract from the message boards .....

I highly doubt that it will stay locked forever because think about future AC fans, completely new to the franchise, who will be buying and playing Odyssey at some point in the future - they'd be out of luck too through no fault of their own. All the pre-order bonuses (even in other Ubisoft games) and other supposedly "exclusive" things have been unlocked eventually so I don't see why this would be any different.

Not really true though, take AC Black Flag it has exclusives that could only be unlocked through the companion app or through special events and those never got unlocked at all and that has been like that for some years now even though people petitioned, emailed, and tried all kinds of communication with ubisoft with no luck.
