Firstly, well done. This is a huge step in the right direction.

Removal of GS, short barrels for ARs and the customisation of the experience are great.

I think they could do with a ‘custom’ tab on difficulty, so that we could separate detection time and enemy damage.

Helicopters and bikes do not seem to have been improved at all. Bikes feel terrible and the animations are still awful. Helicopters are just as bad as before but now have a weird hyperspace effect added to the already bad animation. Just bring back ‘classic’ system from Wildlands!

Whilst the Ghost experience definitely helps to add an element of immersion and the gameplay definitely feels much more like a GR game, BP still doesn’t match WL.

It may be that this is because with Wildlands we had something to compare the game world to. That being our own preconception of what a South America country is like, even when we’ve never been there. We also have our preconceptions of what drug cartels are like and how they treat people they have power over. We may not have made these comparisons consciously but I believe they are what made WL work so well. We felt sympathy for the people of Bolivia and that created motivation to help them.

With BP, our comparisons are mostly to Wildlands rather that what the world should be like. If you visit some of the beaches in BP it does have a very South Pacific island feel, but this doesn’t translate to creating a living world because it’s just landscape.

In short, the Immersive Experience is a big step forward and is definitely worthy of praise. It improved the gameplay no end, but vehicles are still mostly horrible and the world in general still needs some work.

I hope this is helpful.
