The maps are great, but with the time passing on and the game taking a more, let's say "esports" compatible approach, the maps are no longer designed to immerse you but rather offer great fighting space.

All the changed maps, are changed for good, i enjoy them because i am no longer immersed by them, but rather focused on winning and performing well.
I mean we will get to a point where a flat map with certain platforms will be decent enough for us to play, we don't need tight corridors/paths, just give us flat zones to fight on, i bet you we would enjoy those much more.

I hope in the future they drop this immersive feeling of the map, maybe finding other ways to do so, and create these maps with PHAT, clear and large zones for us to clear.
Like platfrom A, Slope to C ramp to B, A ramparts and stuff like that, very clear to point out and recognize, with a rather "empty" map layout that is focused on gameplay rather than looking attractive for a new player, sure new player experience is important but the game is starting to take such a competitive aspect that i think it's time to adjust every map, clearing unnecessary paths, ledges, small bridges and small places really and make a straight forward map that has a more potential to support mass rotations and give a more fluid gameplay.

Basically opening the map up for better usage of it's unique paths, allowing for fights even in awkward locations like the spirals in shard (the ones from bottom to C) and the entry pathways to C on shard for both teams, maybe opening the point and the entry points from both sides to allow the team to push in and counter camps and other path blocking comps they might have, eliminating traps that would otherwise block the whole path, like small changes to improve how a fight plays out.
