The South Park Team actually requested Thunderbird to be in the game. They might be planning something with it for the upcoming Season.Originally Posted by OpsaOpsa Go to original post
It could have been a boss for PVE. But why do that when they could just increase the card pool and expect us to spend more money in order to upgrade our cards.Originally Posted by GAMEwarriorA113 Go to original post
Because the main story is already on a set structure with every character from the first four themes upon initial release. None of the post-release characters (eg. Sharpshooter Shelly, 4A Monkey, Scout Ike, Mr. Slave Executioner) were shoehorned in to drag out the plot longer than it should go.Originally Posted by dannyb1022 Go to original post
You don’t HAVE to spend real money on cards and upgrades. I played this since summer 2018, got most of my Commons and some of my Rares to Lv 5, most of my Epics to Lv 4, several of my Legendaries to max Lv 3, and I never spent any real money on the game whatsoever. In fact, the only card I’m missing before Thunderbird’s release is Incan Craig. Patience is a real virtue.
Mystical is now the only theme where a parent of the main character of the theme is not in that theme. Considering that Liane and Stewart were two of the recent additions, I hope they are working on "Protestor Shiela" or "Big Beeatch Broflovski" or whatever fun idea they can come up with.Originally Posted by OpsaOpsa Go to original post
Also, Adventure needed some major love. It's obvious that they are not going to buff the ****ty Adventure commons, it seems like they're really trying to push people away from those cards as they are the cards you start with. Murph was a real tank, which the theme lacked, Swordsman Garrison a really strong rare card (to replace the no longer OP Medicine Woman) and this seems to be a really nice unit to buff up the theme as a whole, as well as giving them a mechanical unit. Adventure decks are going to the be the paper to the "Bradley's Archers" decks' scissors.
You are accounting for previous time spent. Think about the new players now and imagine the new F2P players. Will take them so many % longer to get to the levels of cards players have had playing for years as it is.Originally Posted by GAMEwarriorA113 Go to original post
With the SAME reward options, except now we have even LESS rewards because of being able to pick your theme rewards, you are going to spend that much longer getting your cards to playable levels unless you have already been playing for years and already have the cards at those desirable levels. 3 legendary, 4 epic, and 5 rare is basically mandatory for a majority of cards to be viable (minus the few oddities here and there) and each epic and legendary card is going to add to the pool of already available cards. I would rather get 1 Mecha Timmy than 1 Sizzler Stuart, or 1 GWC instead of 1 CG, and so on.
My chance of a random legendary being the one I wanted started out very low at 1/9. Then each new legendary card released decreased that chance. Now it's 1/18. That's right, man... It was cut in HALF. The weekly TVT, Battle Pass, and monthly reset has helped obtain legendaries slightly more frequently, but in order to get level 4 on every legendary you now need to get 252 legendary cards. Even if you got 1 legendary a day on average and managed to get 14 of each without getting extra of 1 kind it would take you over 8 months of playing just to hit that mark. Of course this is if you wanted a balanced level 4 legendary for all 3 in each theme and was lucky enough to get 1 legendary a day. But let's be more realistic and say as a f2p player spending no money you are getting 2 legendaries a week on average. It would take you 2.6 years to get all legendaries up to level 4!
Don't even get me started on every legendary to 5 as F2P!
So you HEAVILY rely on RNG. You need to get MAJORLY lucky to only get the legendaries for the themes you primarily use. If the luck falls into place and you succeed in finally getting your level 4 legendary after YEARS of work, you will end up playing against a bunch of @ssholes that spent a few grand in a couple of months that +1 all your cards still, have legendaries at 4 and even 5, and you still don't have a chance of winning unless again the RNG gods are on your side. I am not a huge hater on a F2P game with P2W elements, but this game goes over the top on time spent vs cards acquired to just compete in the upper echelons of PVP with no clear goal besides trying super hard to beat the opponents that have better cards than you.
If I looked at the task ahead of me if I started playing now versus when I started playing shortly after beta, I think I might quit pretty quickly. It's a fun game, it's got the South Park brand which is a huge draw, but they aren't technically growing the game, they are just releasing card after card after card hardly even changing the meta, just making it more and more frustrating to level the cards you want.
That’s exactly what I’m wishing for. I made a thread on some ideas for the Broflovskis should they join Phone Destroyer. (Note that they have to dress for the theme.) https://forums.ubisoft.com/showthrea...hone-Destroyer.Originally Posted by AndrewWang42 Go to original post
