I know for a fact Massive does not Enforce Punishment against using Glitches, as I know a few people who have used them personally and had 0 actions taken again them for weeks.
They come online every day ( so they aren't banned ) their account wasn't reset ( otherwise they wouldn't be the SHD level they are ) - so those are the facts.
Now we have the Damage Glitch.
Because Massive did not immediately ban the users - within 1 day they just tried to find a way to do the glitch again and succeeded.
How are we supposed to interpret this message Massive?
Is the Offical Stand on Glitches and Exploits?
"We 100% Support all Exploiters and Glitchers! We will never ban you. We love you!
Sure we may Disable the Glitch but we will never ever take action against your account!
Those who want to play Honest and not Abuse a good thing? Losers. Go Glitchers! Go Keener!"
More Facts
- Rampant Cheating in Dz with Tip of Spear - No Action ( also not a priority )
- Rampant Cheating in Dz with damage Glitch - No Action
- Using XP Exploit to gain Insane SHD Levels - No Action
- Features to help more easily report players by features like a Death cam \ Inspect Profile on Death Screen \ Damage \ Accuracy Breakdown - Non Existent.
Isnt this the 15th thread on the matter? Do you want devs to just line up cheaters characters on public ans delete everyone's account? Did you forget the game already a huge pile of bugs before this happened? That almost everything was broken?
You know how most fixes happens? With time to actually work on them, seeing how the game is broken and people are doing home office due real life situation you can do nothing but sit and wait for now, jesus there must be other stuff to discuss than making anothee thread about how you want to delete all characters, jesus did you forget that global events are coming next? They have to make that work, fix bugs, fix exploits all the same time
Patch the glitch and ban the glitchers. Zero tolerance. Cheaters are all the same, they assume everyone is like them because their inherent selfishness limits their imagination regarding other people and they cannot fathom a world in which people choose not to cheat. Hence you get absurd statements like 'most of the playerbase is doing it'.
Massive will never be able to catch every single glitch in the game. The only way to prevent people from taking advantage between the time it takes them to become aware of the glitch and patch it is deterrence. Make glitchers fear their punishment and they won't do it.
They don't need to ban anyone. They have the facility to simply '' roll back '' exploiters/cheats accounts to an earlier time and strip them of their ill gotten gains and shd tech etc. This may actually teach people that using exploits and cheating will not be tolerated in future and anything gained by this sort of behaviour will be lost after being re-rolled.Originally Posted by Judge.Starr0w Go to original post
The deterrent is up there in TD2 code of conduct, time to enforce it and stop this exploiting/cheating that is ruining the game for ALL players. I think the so called '' content creator morons '' who show exactly how to use any exploit that immediately becomes available should be completely banned however as they are of no use whatsoever with their click bait and only interested in the revenue they receive, not the good of the game for most who play it.
OP you are correct as are the other comments.
Still it cannot be repeated enough times that this post would never be made had there been connection to the game and game play by those team leads who allowed this to be implemented. If your going to respond with "you cannot possibly test a game completely" well that has placed this game where it currently is. It is being tested.
As for the "cheaters" well this has been going on since the second race was run. Every one is looking for an edge. Pro athletes/teams, amateurs at every level. Parents getting their kids into the "right" colleges and it goes on.
Massive cannot change behavior that is never going to change. They can "fix" what was discovered as they fix any other thing that gives a player some extra caches, means to get more loot.
This. If Massive wants the DZ to be a selling point that keeps people in the game, then a zero tolerance policy is a must. Want to see what happens to a game when the development studio doesn't take cheating seriously? Go play GTA Online. Try to play it legit and then tell me how fun that was.Originally Posted by Defuser Go to original post
It is also a game that has gained cheaters through a "you can't bet em so you join em" mentality. Every cheater sings the same tune. I only got a mod menu because everyone else had one. Or.... my favorite.... I don't use the mod menu to grief or in any way detract from other non-cheating players experience. Yeah, uh huh.
If the streamers are all guilty of exploits, then yes I say ban them too. It needs to be a solid policy without exceptions because of stature.
f the cheating problem has gone on for so long without real action, and it would in fact affect the majority of the player base, then so be it. I'll still be in the game, and will probably start playing in the DZ again. I can't be the only person that has never exploited, and who would play in the DZ if the playing field was truly even.
If they don't act on the players that are using glitches (or worse cheating) then this whole TOS and whatever other rules they want to apply are not worth the paper it is written on, or in modern times, the bytes that represent it. When there are glitches I think banning is going a bit to far but for those who repeatedly used the recent glitch, which is impossible to accidentally trigger it, can have their accounts reset as far as I am concerned. So next time they start the game it's back to the White House mission, empty stash, everything gone and have fun grinding again.
