Although, this thread is fundamentally wrong: it's not Prior that's broken, it's everyone below him that's subpar or trash. He's what everyone should be, not the other way around. I'll also say that the difference between him and the weakest heroes is embarrassingly large, which just reinforces the horrendous balance point.

Saying black prior is better than everyone else or every hero is worse than black prior - although semantically they have a different meaning - leads to the same conclusion for what concerns my speech: there is a hero who is way stronger than other heroes. Something that people struggle to admit.

While defensive knowledge is important, as soon as you pick someone who has actual working offense like Black Prior (or even the current Peacekeeper), your ability to use offensive mixups start to have a big part in your success. Of course, it doesn't really matter if you pick someone like Shinobi or Centurion, since everything you do is easily reactable with even such slow reaction times as mine. Sadly, lots of heroes have multiple tools that ultimately fall in this category (or their entire kit does fall there).

I wouldn't necessarily say hero choice is affecting skill. I played lots of ranked matches in the last days, mostly with BP, and almost everyone else there plays Warden, Lawbringer or one of the A tier characters who actually have reaction punishes to my bashes like Tiandi or Shaman. If your opponent picks someone of the same strenght, it doesn't really comes down to hero choice.

I agree on the balance: Black Prior is the balanced character, everyone below him is poorly designed. I wonder what people who upvoted the opener find balanced if BP is not balanced.

Closing this thread as it's largely been full of flaming.

I don't think anyone would disagree that Black Prior is good in both Dominion and Duel right now. If anyone wants to tackle this subject in another thread, I'd ask what specific changes you would make to BP, so we can hash out what the consequences of those changes would be.
