    Questions about specializations for the devs

    As far as I understand, the specializations weapons are supposed to be the most powerful weapons in the game and are supposed to be unique.

    Then why

    1. Why have the mods for the specialized weapons not been updated to level 40?

    I mean they are currently pathetic and purple mods are better.


    2. Why do specialization weapons do reduced damage to named enemies?

    What is the damage reduction?
    10% or 20% or maybe 50%


    I thought the whole point of putting specialized weapons into the game, was to use them against elite and named enemies. But having this damage reduction and the pathetic mods just doesn't make any sense.

    Probably because people were just saving all their ammo (since they are very clunky to use most of the time) to nuke bosses, so they probably decided to make boss stronger against so people would use them more often outside of those cases, which reduced overall use i guess, but hey they actually fixed so crossbow does extra armor damage. They just need to tweak some of them out to be more interesting i wouldn't mind if as part of year two updates they added new spec weapons to each specializations, survivalist gets a non explosive crossbow that has more ammo and can shot faster, demo gets a rocket launcher, maybe even give technician a tazer that can be used defibrilator for long range revives costing all your ammo. who knows
