What was the reasoning to implement such a thing ?

Why are players forced to buy an expansion to be able to all level up to the current max?

this is just a mess you even had to make 2 diferent recall libs for this to work!

im not naive and i know this follows a very well known scummy business model to force people to buy the expansions, but still why do it when people aren´t happy about the game as it is was already ?

eager to kill the game ?

i mean... even changing the world global dificulty is behind this paywall !!! WHY?

Doesnt anyone know over there this will not make ANY customer happy? i bought the game for 3€ , cant complain about the value ratio of what i paid vs what i get , thing is if it wasnt for this scummy business model i would had already bought the expansion to show love and support to the devs (and have more content for myself) , but i wont , i refuse to do it , i will wait for it to be sold at 3€ too and then feel like im the one ripping you off , just feel sorry for all the devs hard work ruined by this very bad business decisions.

I'm of the same opinion myself.
Had they not locked levels into the dlc I would of paid for it gladly. There really is no excuse or need to pay wall leveling.

Exclusive content etc I absolutely agree but levels ... NO.

Well I don't know. If I were in the business of selling games I'd want my customers to pay top dollar and then play the game as little as possible to save on overheads

when i heard you could set the global dificulty i went looking for it and never found it , later i was amazed to learn that simple option was behind a paywall...

that is as scummy as it can get, worst than COD lootboxes or EA pay to win methods.

People without the expansion can't change global difficulty? LOL

It's not the most customer-friendly model, agreed. But on the other hand, buying a full-fledged triple-A game for $3 and then complaining that additional features aren't provided for free, does look rather ... cheap. I'd say that the game (plus expansion) is definitely worth the $33 you'd pay for it under these circumstances.

Last time I checked a company that doesn't make money doesn't stay in business. How would you like for them to make money? Make the game pay2win instead of charging for expansions and cosmetics?

Nothing revolutionary with level cap increase in a payed expansion.

Just buy the expansion. It's worth it. Save your pontificating for issues that matter. This is entertainment.

Some of us paid full price, as I've said I'm not against charging for additional content, I'm well aware a live game needs income going forward I'm absolutely fine with that. I'm fine with not having any of the content from the dlc due to my decision not to buy it. I'm absolutely fine with that.

If you can give me one valid reasonable explanation as to why levels need to be paid for maybe I'll rethink my stance but by the current standard we owe them around another £50 already if £25 for 10 levels is what they were aiming for.

As I said above in my 1st post I'd of bought the DLC willingly had those 10 levels not been there, I just can't see any reasonable excuse to charge people for levels, it's not a feature it's part of the games core design.
