Speed running is not for everyone. But for those of us who do it we have put thousands of hours into this game. We perfect our builds and develop strategies to beat the hardest content in the fastest time.
But with the 2 DPS glitches (that we know about) the leaderboards have been flooded with times achieved by players exploiting these flaws in the game.
We understand that the developers need time to patch issues like this and we are waiting patiently. But when they are resolved it is essential that leaderboards are reset. It would be nice to see action taken against those who chose to exploit the glitch, but that is unlikely to happen.
But if leaderboards are allowed to remain the way they are, there is no reason for speed runners to continue playing Division 2, despite the dedication we have shown.
The new content and changes breathed life back into the game. Although some fine tuning needed to be done the game was alive again.
But greedy players who want the best weapons without putting in any effort to get them have sucked the life back out the game again.
Congratulations to all of those people. You will have all the best weapons in a game that nobody plays anymore.
They need to come down on players hard, unless legit players will totally lose enthusiasm for any competitive content. No one will reply the raid, league, any of the new content or even chase exclusive exotics if they know even trash players have cheesed them.
I've pretty much given up since the Glitch, at a time when I have more time to play games than usual. Guess I'll back into Destiny
I feel the cheaters would happily take a 28day ban in exchange for the 2 best exotics guns in the game, and top of all leaderboardsOriginally Posted by CallinOutCheats Go to original post
I’d like to see the Big Horn and the Eagle Bearer removed from the game entirely. All the cheating scrubs will lose the exotics they acquired. And if the leaderboards are reset they will lose all of their times.
Once this is done put the Big Horn and the Eagle Bearer back in the game. Anybody prepared to put in the effort with have minimal trouble getting them again.
That won't be how that would works.Originally Posted by CallinOutCheats Go to original post
You'd have to selectively remove those weapons from players you've determined have cheated in order to get them. You can't assume everyone who has them has cheated. This will not happen because that will take way too much time. Simply removing those items from the game would also remove them from those who've acquired them legitimately, only making those players angry.
I’m not sure about other platforms, but prior to the DPS glitch only about 60 people had even completed the raid on level 40 on the platform I play on.
Those who have the skill to complete it multiple times will have no trouble at all getting another Eagle Bearer. And I’m sure they would also be happy to help anybody who lost one to get another one.
As far as legendary completions go, those numbers are even lower. How must those players who spent hours and hours completing a legendary mission feel? Now every scrub who used the glitch had a Big Horn and they did no hard work to get it.
