On a lighter note: The last project/s I worked on in Iraq required a uniform of sorts; khaki or OD cargo style pants, boots/hiking boots/shoes, and company provided summer and winter weight concealment shirts, baseball caps and boonie hats. The guard force wore company provided all khaki uniforms (company shoulder patches and all that), that I was required to inspect and correct if necessary prior to going on shift.

We provided perimeter security; controlling personnel and vehicle access to "the site". We had two more layers of security (different PMCs) behind us in case **** went south for us. They were more heavily armed than we were, and made better coin; so I guess ehey were kinda our "Wolves".

Their uniform? T shirts, sometime sleeveless Ts, cargo shorts, and athletic shoes (maybe boots). If we got a hit (suspected device) on a vehicle trying to enter; we called for the K9/handler (on call 24/7). No telling what they'd be wearing when they showed up; depended on what they'd been doing when the call came in (in fairness to the handler; they were required to respond with all speed possible). Once; the handler showed up wearing unlaced boots, and a bath robe over their boxer shorts. The dog was dressed OK though.
    Great insights man.
Hey why not have Wolves wearing these inside the wire? I'm serious, those guys need to relax:

Wow man. That's giving a LOT of credit to the writers here. Where you sober while considering this?

I'm always sober, much to my detriment sometimes...

I think it's classic game designer approach of portraying evil character to make you shoot at: they wear black and paint skulls, highly likely to worship satan, they eat meat, they dont respect women, they are white guys...

As much as I dislike the concept of the Wolves, for me the biggest disappointment, has been how much the Devs focused on the Wolves or Sentinel gear, as cosmetic items. It seems like 1/3 of all the stuff they added was to make us look like anyone, but Ghosts.

Seriously though, why have these guys walking around with weapons at the ready and wearing their full halloween regalia within FOBs and bases?
Why not instead have them wearing tshirts, leave weapons and vest on though and no masks while inside the wire, on patrol or RECCE missions?
Have them walk around normally, training, lifting weights, sleeping, eating, etc, whatever array of idle animations enemies had back in WL would do.
The difference between a Sentinel grunt and a Wolf is in how they react to and behave during combat, outside of that they're people, not automatons,
Masks and related theatrics should be reserved for Direct Action and raids only, which Wolves could perform on the player and allies, much like how ZULU squad was used in Spec Ops:The Line for instance.

    True enough.
I mean, what can we possibly expect from a studio that went ahead and had every dead chopper pilot you find at the start of the game (fellow dead ghosts more or less dressed also like civilians) wearing tshirts, jeans and of course, so you can identify them as such, pilot hemets? How difficult could it be to have these little details right, again, on the OPENING MISSION nontheless, the one that sets the tone for the whole game.

Yeah, he might as well be wearing horse blinders, much like our beloved Wolves in their silly silly masks.
