Quick suggestion to all AI Wolves out there on Auroa: Relax.
Seriously though, why have these guys walking around with weapons at the ready and wearing their full halloween regalia within FOBs and bases?
Why not instead have them wearing tshirts, leave weapons and vest on though and no masks while inside the wire, on patrol or RECCE missions?
Have them walk around normally, training, lifting weights, sleeping, eating, etc, whatever array of idle animations enemies had back in WL would do.
The difference between a Sentinel grunt and a Wolf is in how they react to and behave during combat, outside of that they're people, not automatons,
Masks and related theatrics should be reserved for Direct Action and raids only, which Wolves could perform on the player and allies, much like how ZULU squad was used in Spec Ops:The Line for instance.
15:35 minute mark:
Wolves will remain distinctly absent in my videos for exactly this reason- there's really nothing believable about them in their current getups. I understand wearing some theatrical costumes for raiding and intimidation displays in low threat environments... think raid stripes on aircraft and the skull masks operators might wear in murder / death / kill operations... But the stuff they're wearing is so severely over the top it's very hard to take seriously.
Yeah, pretty much.Originally Posted by gascan75 Go to original post
I mean, these guys should put the fear of God into us and instead they're nothing but laughing stock; those outfits look ridiculously atrocious and even more so in plain daylight, on them at all times as they perform their tryhard routine 24/7.
One more thing, Wolves and Sentinel for that matter, should be outfitted with camoed gear; as regrettable as it is that AIs still aren't affected by our choice of camo the reverse isn't true, we as human beings playing a video game still rely on, albeit not limited to, our eyes to spot the enemy so, make use of that advantage to design a challenging oposition. No exotic optical camo needed, just a good old set of camouflaged BDUs.
What are you guys talking about? This image just screams "Authentic Spec-ops experience".
I mean, look at the authenticity in these operators!
I remember seeing these guys in the posters hanging on the wall of my recruiters office. I tell ya, when I signed my name on that line, these are the guys I wanted to be. . .
God, they look silly...what's with the roman "cingulum militare" anyway?Originally Posted by CrockfordCK Go to original post
Well; Ubi did do a stellar job (not just on this topic) of camoflaging the fact they they had FOR REAL Specs Ops Consultants involved in the development of GRB.
On a lighter note: The last project/s I worked on in Iraq required a uniform of sorts; khaki or OD cargo style pants, boots/hiking boots/shoes, and company provided summer and winter weight concealment shirts, baseball caps and boonie hats. The guard force wore company provided all khaki uniforms (company shoulder patches and all that), that I was required to inspect and correct if necessary prior to going on shift.
We provided perimeter security; controlling personnel and vehicle access to "the site". We had two more layers of security (different PMCs) behind us in case **** went south for us. They were more heavily armed than we were, and made better coin; so I guess ehey were kinda our "Wolves".
Their uniform? T shirts, sometime sleeveless Ts, cargo shorts, and athletic shoes (maybe boots). If we got a hit (suspected device) on a vehicle trying to enter; we called for the K9/handler (on call 24/7). No telling what they'd be wearing when they showed up; depended on what they'd been doing when the call came in (in fairness to the handler; they were required to respond with all speed possible). Once; the handler showed up wearing unlaced boots, and a bath robe over their boxer shorts. The dog was dressed OK though.![]()
Crow... What if... what if the Terminator is tied in more deeply than we thought? What if they are not people and in fact are early, rudimentary, versions of terminators?! It would explain their ridiculously shallow behavior. Their terrible tactics, and disregard for self preservation.Originally Posted by El_Cuervacho Go to original post
Crock, man, this game's plot's so awful that back in october that's EXACTLY where I thought the story was going to end up going.Originally Posted by CrockfordCK Go to original post
That in time it would be revealed that Walker, in his obsession, had every Wolf implanted with a brain chip so to improve on their abilities, which in Ubi's mind would recontextualize the robotic behaviour Wolves have been exhibiting throughout the story as a result of them tinkering with their noggins.
I've considered this, honestly.
