Hello guys,
as one of propably many concerned players, I'd like to use this forum to suggest a solution that came up my mind while talking about the underpopulated gamemodes Deathmatch and Tribute.
As we all (should) know, the lack of players searching for Tribute and Deathmatch is leading to a demotivating and kind of frustrating waiting game
To prevent that from happening and giving everyone a fair share my idea is to merge the three original 4vs4 gamemodes(Dominion, Tribute and Deathmatch into one playlist that randomly assigns you for one of the three gamemodes and without parameter settings.(not beeing able to choose which gamemode should be preferenced)
To prevent the case of playing the same gamemode again and again the mode that comes after the previous round is random generated with zero chance of playing the same gamemode from before(people can of course vote for the map the upcoming mode should be played on or not what ever fits you better)
In the case of deathmacth coming up as the next gamemode I'd suggest that players first vote for the version to be selected( skirmish or elimination) and after that the vote for the map each vote having a timespan of 15 secounds.
BUT... what if a player wants to complete a gamemode speciffic order like (gamemode)-slayer or warrior?! Good question so I'd suggest that the required gamemode gets a parameter like preference when entering the queue so the player does not have to play cross your fingers and hope for the required gamemode.
If you don't exactly know what I mean with parameter, its a mechanic that allows you to choose which version of deathmatch you'd like to play.(skirmish(the typical tdm)or elimination(a duel like turn based 4vs4 where each player of the team is randomly placed with one random player of the enemie team on one spot of the map to fight a 1vs1) ).
As for elimination I'd also like to suggest an idea for preventing it from turning into a gankfest(which can be very frustrating for people). All 1vs1 find place in an isolated area. When the 1vs1 is over the victorious player gets spawned in a waiting room where he can either watch the remaining fights or train combos with a dummy. When all matches are finished the remaining players of each team are set against each other one after one like for example when one player remains against three people, he will fight the rest of the players one after one untill either he or his foes are defeated. To prevent this from becoming a match to enternitie I suggest that the last remaining players do not recieve a full heal as when they get spawned into the queue room after the first match.
BUT... what if players in a group each have different gamemode speciffic orders equiped?! Well i suggest that they can either vote for just preferencing all required gememodes for the queued search(all required modes havin a decent chance of beeing picked) OR can fight elimination styled for their gamemode becoming the first one to be prefered in the queue(in case of only 2 players it becomes a one round 1vs1)
I realy hope this is understandably written and considered a chance for future updates and also enjoyable for others if that's kind of the case
