    Seriously, stop editingthese damn maps

Every time a new update came up some maps are changed, and everytime the ledges are closed. Seriously, you need to stop editing your maps every damn time, it's getting annoying. Do lots of people come here crying cause they're ledged? These modifications are awful, every damn map looks the same. Stop ruining your game over and over again please.

About as many as the ones that come here crying because a ledge point got closed off

Lets put it this way. For honor is a fun feeling game to play. Nothing else quite matches its feeling. People like to be able to attack. They like seeing their favorite and cool hero fighting. People dislike having to stand around. People dislike having a single mistake send them back to the respawn window.

Maps that feature easy access to environmental kills force players to wait around for the other person to mess up so they can be the one who insta kills someone rather than being instant killed. All of the competitive based maps currently in rotation allow you to play around environmental kills easier and/or avoid the one point that it's worse at. Cause who'd have thunk that people actually want to play the game over just instant killing and being instant killed constantly.

I think the devs in addition to removing most easy instant kill spots should also be adding in non lethal environmentals. That way people still need to pay attention to their surroundings. And players can still "interact" with the environment. But in a healthier manner. drop attack damage should also scale with fall distance. This would drastically reduce OHK's on plunges which means for a map such as harbor it becomes a lot more enjoyable to play on since you're not in fear of a plunge attack on every point anymore.

Is it fun to get these OHK's on occasion? Absolutely. But people don't do it once or twice. They fish for it. We have a LOT of people who play warlord and raider just because they have an extended throw option when sprinting that allows them to ledge people easier. And they ONLY do this. I seriously doubt you enjoy being tossed into spikes constantly. And you'd probably end up at the very least not enjoying the map anymore because someone would do that to you once.

not just the ledges but the fire hazards as well. the removals are just lame.

I like the changes because they remove some of the frustration away from parts of the map or imbalances from objectives.

What I would like is if we had other environmental factors in neutral parts of the maps such as fires or even areas that can cause bleeding, stun effects or movement penalties for a bit of variation.

I'd also like to see each map be able to load with randomised parts ie some ledges are opened up or blocked off at random before the game starts and map hazards are randomly put in or not (all at set locations). Think how L4D2 could have its maps after slightly for each game.

I would understand if they said maps are being changed for competitive reasons if the game was actually indeed competitive, which it isn't.

I dont understand why maps are changing all of a sudden after 3-4 years of being the same. It's as if the skeleton crew left still working on For Honor are using their small group VETO to make unilateral changes.

I hate every single changes they did in the past 4-5 months to maps. All of them. I loved the fact there were more environment hazards all around, some heroes weaker in fights had strength in ledging and by removing fire / ledges, you are indirectly nerfing those heroes without compensation.

Which brings me to Shinobi again and how map changes is just another way to nerf him ... again.

closing more ledging spaces + blocking more fire hazards

that's why i made the healthy switch to mordhau where developers respects the needs of their playerbase .

Guess the term "ledgelord" is outdated 🤨

I'm also under the impression that these map changes are geared towards making the game more competitive. Perhaps the devs should consider competitive servers & playlists so the needs of the casual player base don't get compromised.

Nah they be babyproofing it if for honor did turn into a ranked based game (nowhere near soon tbh)
people would learn to avoid hazards like actual gamers remember Dark souls (series) FH ain't close
to how dangerous that game was.
