Reinstalling uplay, as per the video above, may help. Personally, I would remove it and reboot, then reinstall. Killing tasks is not really great practice.

Do you have other ubisoft games? Do they work OK? Because so then uplay probably isn't the issue.

Has the game ever worked? Because I assume it hasn't and hence there is no progress. Uninstalling FCND and reinstalling would be the next thing I'd try. If that doesn't work, then I'd rename the FCND in your windows profile directory, and launch the game and let it rebuild the profile.

Other things that you typically try:

    - Turn off "full screen optimizations". You do this by finding the game executbale, properties, then compatibiulity.
    - Upgrade video drivers.

Another thing that has came up the past few months, is that if WIndows Defender is your security provider, it has ransomware protection which might be enabled and might be preventing FCND from saving to your profile directory. This would certainly cause unexpected behavior of the game. You can add the game as an exception or disable controlled folder access.

Also, sometimes it becomes necessary to completely remove video drivers and reinstall. I've seen this fix many issues over the years. This is done using a toll called "Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU). Use that in safe mode to completely remove GPU drivers. Then reboot and install the latest.

Or, sometimes the latest driver induces bugs in already existing games. So you might want to try the GPU driver version from the around the time FCND launched.

Other than all of that, there are also other drivers and potentially conflicting apps. Disable all apps that aren't needed. Especially apps that hook into video or are part of the audio stack. LIke dolby enhancements, etc. If you have RGB case/keyboard lighting, that can cause problems in games too. Disable that stuff. Yes, I know -- you want your RBG lighting to work..... if disabling makes teh game run then contact Corsair to have them fix their stuff.
