To be fair, you can do the same to themOriginally Posted by Tet2 Go to original post
understand the frustration but the current meta is red based and definately use your cover. The old tactics of face tanking just doent work anymore and is very much geared towards team play and synergy of talents and skills,
While i sympathise, you need to adapt your build and play style. I dont have a gripe with the difficulty of challenging global setting. I have a real issue with them trashing over 2000 hrs of time put into my previous builds and that i have a stash full of useless old exotic items they wont lets us upgrade and use because they want us to experience the the new gear. Then they make the drop rates so low they are impossible to get. Im on shade lvl 72 and Season lvl 45 and the only exotic ive seen is the coyote mask which was a season lvl 35 reward?
I’m using a crusader shield build that is doing around 6 mil dps and being a viable healer for my team. With the right talents red dps builds are not the only viable dps builds and with my hybrid I keep myself healed up and rarely am behind cover. (I still stand behind low cover and don’t rush out in the open)Originally Posted by SGTR0CK117 Go to original post
What difficulty and activity are you doing. Because balwark shield with motherly love won't last a single shot on heroic missions. Full 1.7m armor, max armor regen, and still heroic was an impossibility. Swap over to DPS and the game is a cake walk. it's a joke... A really bad joke.Originally Posted by pure_energist Go to original post
A single shot? Surely now you're just over exaggerating. I run shield tank pretty effectively with skill tier 6 and it only dies if i'm absolutely swarmed or i'm fighting a boss, because they deal a ludicrous amount of damage.Originally Posted by Janellope Go to original post
I’m playing challenging with 4 team groups. The shield is holding up well enough with just 4 skills into it and I can exchange to 5 without losing too much dps but for. Now challenging isn’t very difficult as long as I play smart. I haven’t tried heroic but he build has some more room to strengthen. I’m running perfect focus+companion with a rifle to get my dps up. That’s 75% bass damage bonus I’m able to keep active the majority of the encounters. I also have a lot of headshot bonuses and some moderate crit chance. I put a lot into skill repair to make the medic side of the build better.
