Ruler of Time - what's the point?!

The trailer to the new event game mode, Ruler of Time - a modified Dominion - looks nice. And in terms of optics, it really is. Artistry has always been a strong suit of UBI. But that's about all that is fun about this event game mode. And it's all because of the Prince. Well, to be exact, not because of him but because of what FH@UBI has done with him.

The idea of putting the Prince of Persia into the role of a villain doesn't resonate with me. In fact, I consider it absolutely unacceptable. Yes, the Prince has a dark side too (The Two Thrones) but he's definitely not evil - a quality you'd rather expect from a villain. So why is he really there in the game? Just to sow chaos and make your miserable life even more miserable? It just doesn't make sense. And it's a shame the developers of the real Prince of Persia have let FH@UBI tarnish his good name in such a despicable way.

The fight mechanics of the Prince also don't seem to make sense. He's simply undefeatable. Perhaps you could stand your ground against his endless feints, his dodges and his FTL lights (I certainly can't but there sure must be players who could) - if it weren't for his special feats. He can jump from place to place and land, without warning (!), right in front of you, kick you to the ground (Viking logic at its best) and let the Spears of Fate rain down on you (on a huge area!), killing you instantly. As far as I can tell from the streams I've seen, only a few players survive this. The best option you have is to try to get him by backstabbing (Knights logic). So, again, what's the point of this? What's more, have you seen the Prince lose any of his stamina? Or that he has to earn his feats? Or that his feats have a cooldown? Talk about fairness and balance in the game...

Add to this the overpowered, cheating and other dishonorable characters from the Vikings and Knights faction (in FH@UBI's lingo "balanced" and "improved"), and the main principle of the game - acting like a jerk even in a team is cool -, and you have a game mode that has absolutely nothing in common with what might be termed as "honorable fighting". Unfortunately, this seems generally be the direction the game has taken - away from common sense and fairness towards no sense at all.

I totally agree to above. Especially with some "cheap" mechanics that got introduced lately. I dont care when i loose to a player who legitimately outskills me. But a champ/BOT that can 1 hit you or perpetually hold you on the ground is infuriating.

Centurion can kick you down on the ground even during ACTIVATING the vengence mode..... and if yous tand up, he will just spam the same unblockable chain (especially if you are next to a wall) and you cant counteract to it....
