We you won't listen to me but your wrong. Oh and with 3k hours in the Division I'm pretty sure I'm right.Originally Posted by RichardOshea Go to original post
There is possibilities for other builds to create build diversity, BUT they are lacking in game mechanics, lets take the tank fo example, by heavily investing in both armor with TP gear set, you can become absolutely tank with the shield, literally staring down at minigun heavies in legendary, then you shoot at him and do pretty much no damage even if you use a red piece like punch drunk that gives both pistol and headshot damage, then you have your DPS obviously take care of that problem for you instead, except the moment he pops out of cover they shoot him instead and he dies in one second and you are stuck doing no damage.
Tank lack aggro, healers lack good talents, and in both cases they extremely lack damage to support anyone even against red enemies. Playing tank did help on legendary until the issue was that i couldnt protect people becuase enemies would just ignore me and i couldnt shoot explosive drones due lack of damage
There's definitely more diversity now. In TU7, you didn't need armor if you were a good shot, so going pure red was sensible. Now, if you're pure red, you might get one-shotted by sniper wardogs and whatnot. So getting some blues makes sense.
Skills were also too strong without any gear for them. Now skills are pretty weak with 0 skill tier. On the other hand, high skill builds are pretty wicked when played right.
So yes, there's more diversity. I myself now play mostly half red, half blue, when before I was just red. A guy in our group who plays a skill build is a lot more impactful now as well.
Yeah, some kind of a threat mechanism would be nice! Especially if players could control it a bit, like wear gear that increases/lowers the threat level.Originally Posted by Craig1405 Go to original post
You have provided no proof that his arguments are not true, most because you refuse to listen. Build diversity has been greatly reduced. SBs was made useless. Gun Builds have been then only ones given signs of life.Originally Posted by RichardOshea Go to original post
Yes. That is the problem. This is what Massive needs to fix.Originally Posted by Agent_Ares Go to original post
What you see is on lowering difficulties, players struggling to find something that works beyond just another Gun Build. Pre-update we had options and a players biggest issue was finding others that played the way you want. We had players that didn't like that, they didn't want others to have options and that is what Massive did. They removed options.Originally Posted by CJ Fresh Go to original post

I didn't make the claim, I don't need to prove anything. I just don't agree, and until someone demonstrates clearly why there is no diversity I will remain unconvinced. This discussion took place over and over in the first few months of the game. As did discussions around viability. I just kept doing my thing, playing, building, playing.... Then the leaderboards came out and my unviable pointless builds were usually at the top. I expect much the same cycle to happen this time around. The only difference being that right now I have nothing I'd call a build at all.Originally Posted by YodaMan 3D Go to original post
Feel free to do your thing and play the way you want with the builds you want because that is what I many other players will be doing too.
